There is "credible evidence" Justin Bieber fathered a child after a backstage encounter with an older female fan, her lawyers have claimed.

Mariah Yeater, 20, is "pursuing a modest and rightful claim" from the 17-year-old Canadian pop star, who is battling to save his clean-skin image amid a growing scandal.
The Californian woman claims she had sex with the devout Christian, who has criticised casual intercourse in the past, at one of his concerts.
She further claimed that he is the father of her newborn baby, Tristyn Anthony Markhouse Yeater.
Bieber, who was 16 at the time of the incident, vehemently denies the allegations that have rocked the music world and left millions of his mainly teenage female fans stunned.
Miss Yeater is said to have filed a lawsuit earlier this month claiming that Bieber's bodyguards invited her backstage after a performance at the Staples Centre, in Los Angeles, in October of last year.
He is claimed to have told the fan that it was his "first time" before quickly removing his clothes. The liason is said to have lasted about 30 seconds in a backstage lavatory.
Despite Bieber's publicist's calling the lawsuit a fabrication, malicious, defamatory, and "demonstrably false", her lawyers said late on Wednesday there was "credible evidence" behind the claims.
Lance Rogers and Matthew Pare said in a statement that their client wasn't seeking a large amount of money but just wanted support, which she claims she has not yet got.
"(She) is pursuing a modest and rightful claim," they said just hours after she was pictured on the cover of U.S. magazine Star with Bieber's alleged son. "There is credible evidence that Justin Bieber is in fact the father of her baby."

They added that Bieber had not denied he had unprotected sex with her following the concert.
"We call upon Justin Bieber and his attorneys to reach out to resolve this issue in a reasonable manner," they said.
Miss Yeater has apparently requested that the court force Bieber to take a paternity test and "to provide adequate support" for her three-month-old who was born on July 6.
American gossip website Radaronline.com, which claims to have seen the handwritten affidavit submitted by Miss Yeater, reported that a court date had been set for December 15.
A spokesman for Bieber said on Wednesday: "While we haven't yet seen the lawsuit, it's sad that someone would fabricate malicious, defamatory, and demonstrably false claims.
"We will vigorously pursue all available legal remedies to defend and protect Justin against these allegations."
The singer tweeted: "all the rumors...the gossip....Im gonna focus on the positives....the music."
If Miss Yeater's claims are true she leaves herself vulnerable to possible prosecution for statutory rape of a minor.
By her account she would have been 19 at the time of the encounter but the singer would have been only 16. California's age of consent is 18.
Bieber is currently dating Selena Gomez, a 19-year-old actress best known for her Disney Channel appearances.
Even if the allegations prove to be false they could seriously damage the cleancut image the teen has used to amass a personal fortune said to be worth $85 million (£53 million).
Bieber is set to perform in the MTV Europe Music Awards in Belfast on Sunday. He is said to pray before concerts.
