She's not had the best success with her movie career, with films such as Fishtails, Piranha 3D and School For Seduction under her belt.

But Kelly Brook is no doubt hoping to change all that with her latest role, in the sci-fi movie adaptation of French comic Heavy Metal.

And the 31-year-old model made every geek's dreams come true today as she posted pictures of herself on set on her Twitter page.

In the shots, Kelly is seen pouring her curves into a low-cut, skintight PVC outfit while posing next to two men dressed as turtles.

Kelly accompanied the shot with the caption: 'Turtle heads'.

The curvy model then sent a message to movie director Eli Roth which read: '@eliroth Shooting live action version of French Comic Heavy Metal you would so dig this shizzle.'

Kelly flew to Belgium on Sunday night to start shooting the film, a movie adaptation of the hit French comic books.

The magazine, which debuted in France in 1974 before being picked up in America in 1977, won millions of fans worldwide with its mix of science fiction and erotica.

Kelly is still hoping to make it as an actress despite her role in her most recent movie Piranha 3D, and insisted in an interview last year she is 'serious' about acting.

She said: 'If people want to cast me in roles because of my body or how I look, then I'm just going to embrace that, because that's not going to be the case forever and I'm pretty serious about what I do.

'I love what I do, and I approach every job with professionalism and enthusiasm. It doesn't make me any less important than anyone else in the movie, just because of the fact that I'm in a bikini.

'People like to dumb it down, which is fine, I've got no issue with that. I'm happy with what I do and what I bring to the table and that's all that matters really.'

Selena Gomez denies she has split with Justin Bieber in light of love child allegations

Selena Gomez denies she has split with Justin Bieber in light of love child allegations

Selena Gomez has denied that she has dumped Justin Bieber in light of allegations he fathered a fan's four-month-old child.

Mariah Yeater, 20, claims in court filings that the star father her son Tristyn during a 30-second sex session in a bathroom backstage after one of his shows.

The 19-year-old Disney star's representation has confirmed to Us Weekly that rumours that the pair split are false.

It was reported earlier today that Selena had called it quits with her boyfriend of eight months.

'Selena ended it abruptly. She broke the news to Justin just in the past 24 hour,' a source told website Radaronline.com.

It was also reported that Justin allegedly vowed to Selena that the accusations were categorically not true.

'Justin has insisted to Selena that the woman’s allegations are simply not true,' the source added.

The source said that Bieber's representatives also reportedly tried to convince Selena to stand by her man.

'His camp is in damage control mode and attempting to convince her to stick around in the relationship for a few more weeks, because they fear it will be seen as an admission that something indeed took place between Justin and the woman who is alleging that he’s the father of her baby,' the source told Radaronline.com.

Selena's denial of the split comes as Bieber spoke out about the allegations today.

The star went on The Today Show this morning to insist that there is no truth in the fan's claims.

'I'd just like to say basically that none of those allegations are true,' he said.

'I know that I'm gonna be a target - but I'm never gonna be a victim.

'I think that it's just crazy because every night I've gone right from the stage to my car.

'It's crazy that some people want to make up false allegations.

'But to set the record straight - none of this is true.'

Asked if he knew Yeater, he insisted 'Never met the woman.'

And when asked that such claims are 'what comes along with last in the fast lane,' Bieber said: 'Exactly.'

Meanwhile it emerged today that Yeater almost gave up the baby boy for adoption before instead going public with her Bieber bombshell.

She never told her family who the father of her unborn child was - and had planned to give him up for adoption.

But now instead, she now wants to force Bieber to take a DNA test and pay up to $260,000 in monthly child support.

'She didn't know if she was going to keep him,' said Samra Fae Stepper, a relative who looked after Yeater for several months during her pregnancy.

Telling my side of the story: The 17-year-old still had plenty of fans who came to the set equipped with posters despite the allegations

'We kept asking about the father, but I didn't press it.'

Stepper's mom, Frances Wilson, said: 'I did ask her if she was going to keep the baby. She said she didn't know.

'I don't think she knew until almost when the baby was born.'

Wilson said Yeater had told her, 'I'm pretty sure I know who he is,' referring to the father. 'But she said she wasn't going to tell him.'

Yeater's stepfather, Anthony Simeonoff, only found out the news of the baby's supposed dad this Thursday, after friends at his local club read the headlines.

'I'm still in shock,' Simeonoff said, adding that he believes Yeater.

'I love my grandson. If it's real or not, I love my grandson.'

The New York Post also reported today that Yeater was busted in Las Vegas less than two months after getting pregnant.

Records state that on December 21, 2010, Yeater committed battery by 'slapping' a man in the face and later pleaded not guilty.

On June 16, Yeater's lawyer asked for a continuance, noting she lived out of state and was 'under doctor's orders not to travel due to high-risk pregnancy.'

Justin and Selena have been dating since the end of last year, but the couple waited until the Oscars in March to make their first public debut together.

Last month the couple were both in Winnipeg and spent an amorous evening watching the basketball together.

They were seen smooching from a private box.

Migrants must earn £35,000 annually to stay in UK

London – Any skilled migrant who wants to stay in Britain must earn a minimum salary of 35,000 Pounds annually, a new British government report said on Friday in London.
The number of skilled migrants allowed to settle permanently in Britain will be cut by two thirds.
According to the report, only 20,000 foreign workers in skilled jobs such as computing, university teaching and nursing would be allowed to stay on in the country along with family members after their current working visas must have expired.
The report quotes Prof. David Metcalf, Chairman of the UK government’s Migration Advisory Committee as saying that there were “sound economic’’ reasons for the introduction of such restriction.
The proposals also applied to workers covered by “Tier2’’ of government’s points-based immigration system.
Those included under this group are scientific researchers, financial analysts, chefs and management consultants.

More than 200,000 people are currently granted the right to settle in the UK each year.
The Government is seeking to cut net migration to under 100,000 by the end of 2015 and has also targeted foreign student visas for severe cuts.
Government has banned over 450 Colleges, 170 of them in London and the south east of England from bringing foreign students into Britain.
The new crack down on migrants nd related measures are likely to affect many Nigerian including students already in the UK and those who desire to come to the country for studies in the future. (NAN).

Her petite frame wrapped up in the burly arms of Patrick Swayze, there are few who can forget Jennifer Grey’s starring role in Dirty Dancing.

The 51-year–old actress was aged 27 when she signed up to play naïve teenager Frances ‘Baby’ Houseman in the low-budget film that confounded expectations to become a worldwide hit.

And as she prepares to take over from Len Goodman as a judge on tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing, the star looks barely a day older than when Swayze uttered the immortal lines ‘Nobody puts Baby in the corner.’

But while in 1987, Miss Grey was partnered by the classically trained ballet dancer Swayze, who became a heartthrob for millions following his role as dance instructor Johnny Castle, yesterday, she posed up with a rather more portly partner – Russell Grant.

She spoke of her love for the 60-year-old TV personality after watching him in rehearsals, calling him a ‘hoot’, adding: ‘He is so divine. He is a ball of energy and love and sunshine. He has such humour and is enjoying himself so much, it’s such a beautiful thing.’

The star is taking over from Mr Goodman, 67, as he takes a week’s rest from travelling between London and Los Angeles, where he also films a judging role on Dancing With The Stars, the US version of Strictly.

Miss Grey made her big comeback on Dancing With The Stars last year, where she won the mirrorball trophy, partnered by Cheryl Cole’s ex-boyfriend, Derek Hough.

She had suffered a career slump after having an ill-fated nose job in the early 1990s that radically changed her appearance so much that fans failed to recognise her.

The actress admitted that following Dirty Dancing – and at the zenith of her career – she had made ‘a lot of choices most ambitious people would not have made’.

But Dancing With The Stars actually saved her life, as while undergoing a routine health check for the programme in 2009, she was told her spinal cord had been compressed following a horror car crash.

She was then forced to put back her appearance for a year as surgery for the spinal disorder led to a cancer diagnosis.

The actress had been in pain for more than two decades following a 1987 car accident in Ireland with actor Matthew Broderick, her Ferris Bueller’s Day Off co-star and then boyfriend.

The head-on collision left the occupants of the other car, a mother and daughter, dead and Broderick was severely injured

It had left her neck in such a precarious position that her doctor, Robert S. Bray Jr, said: ‘one slip, one fall, one minor rear-end-that’s how close she was to paralysis.’

However, it was during two spinal surgeries that he discovered a lump on Miss Grey’s neck and persuaded her to have it removed.

It turned out the growth was full-blown thyroid cancer, forcing the star to undergo two more surgeries to have her entire thyroid removed. ‘If that tumor had broken out of the capsule of the thyroid,’ said Dr Bray, ‘that’s a very bad cancer. She caught it in time.’

Following four operations and with a titanium plated secured with screws in her neck, Miss Grey went on Dancing With The Stars a year later than planned and won.

The actress, who has a nine-year-old daughter Stella with her husband, actor and director Clark Gregg, then underwent surgery again last November – a month after winning the show - to repair a ruptured disc in her back.

She paid tribute to her Dirty Dancing co-star Swayze, who died after battling pancreatic cancer, in September 2009 – admitting he had taught her to take more risks.

Speaking about Strictly, Miss Grey said: ‘I am delighted to be involved. I so look forward to making the pilgrimage to the birthplace of the greatest dance show, the mecca of spray tans and tangos, and to sit in for the great and pernickety Len Goodman.’

How I was induced and excreted 6 times – Baba Suwe

BABA SUWE IN COURT: Alhaji Babatunde Nurudeen Omidina, aka Baba Suwe arriving Ikeja High Court yesterday. Photo: Lamidi Bamidele

After 24 days in the custody of the  National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, an Ikeja High Court, Friday ordered the release of popular comedian, Mr. Babatunde Omidina, a.k.a. Baba Suwe by the agency.
However, Baba Suwe told the bewildered court how he was induced at an undisclosed hospital at Ikoyi, Lagos as he subsequently excreted  six times on Wednesday.
According to Baba Suwe, “On Wednesday, they came and said we were going to the hospital. When we got there, they put something in my mouth and pump water into it. After,  they also put another thing in my anus and pump something into it. After, I started sh**ting( excreting). I went to the toilet six times that day. Since that day, I have been going to the toilet” .

Confirming Baba Suwe’s ordeal, an armed official of the agency who was part of the team that took him to the hospital told the court that the test conducted on Omidina was ordered by an Assistant Commander in the agency and that it was done in one of the agency’s hospitals in Ikoyi.
Presiding judge, Justice Yetunde Idowu expressed shock at the level  of degradation the Nollywood actor was subjected to by the NDLEA officals,  in the last three days , despite the order of the court.
In her words:“I don`t feel comfortable about that. I feel the agency should not treat him (Baba Suwe) anyhow.”
Counsel to the NDLEA, Mr. Femi Oloruntoba said that he was not aware of the latest tests conducted on Omidina and that no report has been given to him.
He said that NDLEA’s request for the continued detention of Omidina was to enable the agency conclude its investigation at the MMIA, Ikeja on the narcotic substance he was alleged to have ingested.
However, amid heavy security, the crowd outside the court cheered Baba Suwe on but, booed the NDLEA officials .
Meanwhile, Baba Suwe’s counsel, Bamidele Aturu, speaking with Vanguard, said NDLEA’s abuse of his client’s fundamental rights will be fought to a logical conclusion, despite NDLEA’s alleged plan to apologise if Baba Suwe fails to excrete the suspected drug .
In his words: “they would do more than apologies. Heads must roll in the organisation. They better start to look for other jobs. It is as simple as that.”
“This is the 24th day that my client has been in their detention. They have been conducting all sorts of tests on him and found nothing. It is also noteworthy that my client did not eat on Tuesday night, apparently they were preparing him for the tests” Aturu told the court.
Baba Suwe regained his freedom at about 10.53 a.m, just  as the case was adjourned till November 23, 2011, for judgement.

Police: Bieber Sexual Tryst may be Investigated

A Los Angeles police commander says his department could investigate an alleged sexual tryst between an underage Justin Bieber and a now 20-year-old woman because it violates California's statutory rape law.
Cmdr. Andrew Smith said Thursday that no report has been taken about the October 2010 incident at Staples Center.
However, police could look into the matter after various media outlets reported Mariah Yeater filed a paternity suit earlier this week against Bieber.
Yeater had just turned 19 when she says she and Bieber, then 16, had a sexual encounter after one of his concerts.
Bieber's camp denies he is the father of her baby boy, born in July.
California law states anyone who has unlawful sex with a minor and not more than three years older is guilty of a misdemeanor, which carries up to a one-year jail sentence.

I’ll Marry Soon — Tosin Jegede

Former child-singer, Tosin Jegede, now in her late twenties spoke with P.M.NEWS ENTERTAINMENT on her plans for marriage, her music, pet project, Tosin Jegede Foundation among others
As a former kid singer, did your albums bring you fame and fortune?
Well, while performing as a kid, I was having the opportunity of moving round the country and attended different events. But really why I was all over the country, I was trying to get something to offer to motherless babies’ homes. The first thing was to be involved in some other things like the ‘Better Life for Rural Women’, a pet project of the former first lady, the late Mrs. Maryam Babangida. That gave me the exposure of moving around different communities.
Therefore, with that, I had my records being played on all radio stations and TV stations and it made me even more popular.
After that time, you went into oblivion. Why did you quit music?
No! I have not quit music. Like I said earlier, music has always been in me, but I think I just shifted my passion, I mean I refocused my passion and basically it was the reason why I went back to singing which was to do something positive.
Music is a natural thing if you look at it. In music I would attribute it not really to the song but to the work I do because I would never see myself as a full time musician.

When do you hope to produce a new album?
Another album, I think I am trying to adjust to the music scene in Nigeria right now. Between now and next year by the special grace of God, I hope to release an album.
Your songs were focused on children, then you were a kid and now you are an adult. In your next album, will you focus on children as usual?
Well, when I was a kid, I was thinking and singing like a kid. Now I am an adult, I can see through the eyes of a child and also see through the eyes of an adult too. So it wouldn’t be a song for children. I would rather be positive because I am an adult. I mean positive song really.
You studied outside the country. Can you compare the education overseas and that of Nigeria, specifically regarding the mass failure of Nigerian students in exams like NECO, WAEC, GCE, JAMB etc. these days?
Education is really a problem in Nigeria. Yes, there are a few things that are wrong with our education system. Why our children fail their NECO, WAEC and JAMB is because there is no proper training, corruption, attitude of our teachers and government.
In our universities, the students also face this problem of not being properly trained. But the good thing is that, we are beginning to realise and acknowledge the mistakes and we are trying to fix them.

What do you think can be done to eradicate the problems we have with education?
Well, in my view, first and foremost, let’s start from primary schools, before a child enters secondary school to university level, the child needs to be mentored on courses to be chosen. The child needs a good direction, based on the course the child is good at, so that he or she will not make a wrong choice.
Also, children need career counselling. Like in England, the moment a child is out of primary school, he or she will have career counsellor who will lead him or her to the main courses that will lead him or her through secondary to university to become a professional or perfect in his or her area of specialisation.
Therefore, such approach should take place in Nigeria. The primary school is where my organisation is working on.
What is the ‘one child one book’ project all about?
The real motive behind it has to do with the future. We look at 2035. Imagine in the next four or five years what the child could do with a story book when they form reading culture that early in life. We believe that by 2035, today’s children would become the president, doctors, governors, entrepreneurs, etc. That’s the reason we felt it was very important to create the reading culture right from primary school level because in the secondary school, they write essay, in the university they write thesis.
We like to improve the level of literacy in our society. In 2009, Nigeria ranked 139 out of 179 countries in literacy according to UNESCO. We are basically interested in how to improve on this record.
Against this backdrop of high level of illiteracy, how do we address the issue of children hawking on the streets to support their families?
First and foremost, children hawking on the streets instead of facing their education is because of poverty. They do it to support their family’s income. The Lagos State government has enacted a law against child labour. They have placed a law on any child found on the streets hawking when the child is supposed to be in school.
The Federal Government should provide necessary amenities, address the minimum wage issue, improve the quality of life as well as improve family income.
All these cannot happen in one year, but it could be legislated and enforced that any parent who engages his children for labour or abusing them should be punished. Also, when we have regular electricity supply, potable water, decent accommodation, food for all, good roads, adequate health facilities, then we can say there is better life in general.
So many things are happening, like labour crisis, strike here and there. What should be done to bring about cordial relationship between government and the people?
The government should meet with employers of labour to discuss the budget; the minimum wage should be implemented by government so that people shouldn’t be working with anger. The government should make policies that will empower people to create their own company and employ people. This will reduce unemployment in our country.
The government should as well form an organisation and empower people to manage it with close supervision and if the person is not doing well with it, he or she will definitely quit the project or contract for more serious people to take over.
Now, let’s discuss Tosin Jegede Foundation
Tosin Jegede Foundation is an organisation started in 2001. We had our first project in November, 2005, an art exhibition basically to educate the Nigerian people including royal fathers. Then we came back again in 2010 and organised children’s programme in Amuwo Odofin local council. Basically, we are trying to empower the less privileged Nigerians. But when we look back again, the passion is always being with children. So we worked with children first and we are now building a foundation that focuses on education.
Now we are a registered organisation. We sponsored ‘one child one book’ in a primary school. This year, we organised a holiday workshop for children in primary schools with the theme: ‘what would you like to be in future?’. The ‘one child one book’ project is meant to improve the reading culture among children in primary schools.
How do you get assistance for your projects?
Because we got registered recently, what we have done so far is a programme within our families friends and some well wishers to really expose our project. Going forward we will be giving everybody the opportunity to make the difference with the children we meet. Together, we are going to touch their lives. We solicited for funds from individuals and engaged in various creative ways and intend to do things differently and be able to meet our objectives.
As a Nigerian or Yoruba lady to be precise, it is believed that kitchen is the first office of a lady and you are in your late twenties, when do you intend to settle down in marriage?
Soon! If the kitchen is the first office, I don’t know what you have to say about the president of Liberia, Ellen-Sirleaf Johnson. I think the thing for me is about really driving what am doing and putting all my energy into it. The aspect of settling down is something I would look forward to do.
Do you have a man in your life right now that you intend to settle down with?
Yes.
How soon?
Very, very soon, by the special grace of God. For now, I don’t want to focus on any relationship because my life is too complicated. I have so many opportunities in front of me. I would rather focus on my work than who would be the potential man I will marry. So, I want the focus to really be on my work.
Since you did not actually mix with the local people as an Ekiti lady, do you still hold on your culture like pounding yam?
I love pounded yam. I can pound, using the traditional mortar with pestle. As tradition permits, I can do it the local way.
