Mother of 'miracle babies' experience tough time in police station.

Miracle Children in Lagos
THE mother of seven ‘miracle babies’, Mrs Precious Donatus Ogbonna  is making  a desperate plea for help out of her current  situation as she languishes in police detention in Owerri. She is also  insisting   her story is true.  A source from the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) where she is being held  disclosed that she is seeking  help out of  her situation as the police continue  to gather information on her claim.

An inside source told  Saturday Vanguard that she is being subjected to a very annihilating condition, an action which suggests that she has already been condemned by the police.
“The condition of where she was kept is terrible. Only one of the family members was allowed to see her since her detention”
One of her relations, we gathered, who was at the station to see her was almost locked up few days ago.  “An uncle of hers was there to see her recenetly, but the police insisted that he had to write a statement, but after some argument, he left the station angrily”, our source said.
We gathered that frantic efforts are being made by some of her family members to ensure her release soon.  Their position we gathered was that she should not be presumed to have committed the crime of stealing babies until investigation proved so, adding that proper investigation should be carried out.
Our source however, hinted that few days ago, she cried for help asking to see her babies especially when information got to her that two of the babies were ill.  The babies have been kept in a motherless babies Home in Owerri under the close watch of the police. Our source who visited the home where the babies were kept said, the babies were restless, crying and the authorities of the Home are uncomfortable and might  reject the babies. “the babies were crying all day, and the authorities of the home are saying the police should come and carry the babies”, our source said.
Donatus Ogbonna, the estranged husband of the woman who was said to have been questioned and immediately released did not pick his call when Saturday Vanguard sought to hear from him.  When our reporter eventually got him,   he declined comment saying he was very angry with Saturday Vanguard on the  publications of the story.
Donatus Ogbonna has refused to speak with Saturday Vanguard since the story broke out, expressing anger for being quoted when he was not even there.
Mrs. Precious Ogbonna, before her arrest told Saturday Vanguard that her husband abandoned their home and denied the paternity of the babies making her to bear the brunt of caring for the seven babies alone.  She had always insisted that only a DNA test can convince him and bring him back.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Imo State Command, Mr. Linus Nwaiwu, when contacted, said he would get back to Saturday Vanguard on the issue, but our source hinted that the police is still interrogating her on the hospitals where she  delivered the babies. We gathered that Mrs Ogbonna has  refused to name the hospitals insisting that would be contrary to her agreement with God.
