Radio Perez: Decor Couture!

In honor of Mel, this week's Radio Perez theme is Decor Couture! She is famous for her amazing outfits made completely out of decor items and it has always been so inspiring. You can create whatever you want as long as your outfit is made entirely out of objects, the only exceptions being shoes, tights/hose, and accessories (jewelry, handbags, belts, etc.) Have fun!

Mel's Farewell Interview

I think all of us remember our first day on Stardoll! Can you recall the first doll you dressed up? The first item you bought?

I remember when I first joined stardoll, you could only get sd by buying it or waiting for your starpoints to reach a certain level (like every 100 points or so you got 10sd). It was because of this that I grew to be stingy on here and it was always tough for me to purchase anything. I remember I saved up and I bought a pair of jeans that were cuffed at the end (from the Amy Winehouse doll), a pair of red stripper heels from Fallen Angel, and a designed plaid tank top that I made to have blues and reds so it would match the jeans and heels. This was the first outfit I bought! As for which doll I dressed up, I really don’t remember, but the first doll I saved to my album was Amy Winehouse.

What do you consider to be your big "Fame" moment, the thing that launched your popularity?

I have never really tried to pinpoint this moment before, so it is very tough, but I can think of one particular moment. After one of my first parties that I ever attended, which was one of the Star Awards, I was put into a poll against Ellie (fakeshake3) for who wore the Lindsay Lohan lottery dress best. I had really never had publicity of any type of exposure before, so I was astonished. I couldn’t believe I was being compared to someone who is such an iconic member and has one of the best senses of style I have ever seen, that members knew my username and were saying that they liked my outfit in the comments, and that I went on to win the poll. It was my first taste of being under the spotlight on here.

What have been your best experiences on Stardoll? Events, accomplishments, friendships?

I have really been blessed with the life I had led on here. Some of my closest friends are only in my life because of this website and those relationships are what have been my best experiences on stardoll. Jenna (Emorox4eva), Kasia (Undamyumbrellla), Marcela (.Marcela..), Jessie (gyrgyr), and Kris (siamesecatlover), have all truly become like sisters to me, and anyone else who is in my BFF list I seriously consider one of my good friends in real life. Aside from this Miss America answer, I really and truly adored every moment I spent with Paulina Porizkova. She is one of my biggest rolemodels because of how genuine, down to earth, and inspiring she is. I got to know her well in The.Flops and being her supermanager of AskPaulinaGirls and winning competitions in both of her clubs showed me that I can really go on to amazing things in life. It is one thing to win an award for Best Medoll, but it is another to win Best Advisor from a real supermodel for helping users in need of support. 

Who would you say has inspired you and influenced you the most on Stardoll?

Anyone who is in my Best Friend’s list has really influenced my personal life and has taught me so much, but the people who have really inspired me to keep going and have changed the way I live life are my ‘fans’. Anyone who comes to my guestbook, sends me a mail, comments in my album, or gets in touch with me in anyway and tells me that I have inspired them, inspires me. It makes me feel more accomplished than any money, degree, or grade would ever make me feel. I just feel important to someone and that always makes me want to do better so that I won’t let those people down. They are the people that really kept me here so long and have made my journey so wonderful. 

If you could switch closets with any other Stardollian who would it be?

What a good question! I would have to say that I really wouldn’t change closets with anyone. My clothes kind of represent the journey I have had on here. Every article of clothing has a story and I have personally bought or traded for all the things I have. My collection is by far my favorite, even though there are people out there with incredible pieces, it just wouldn’t make me happy to have them.

You're probably best known as a model and Cover Girl! Which has been your favorite magazine to work with?

I have really been so honored and pleased to work with all the magazines I have graced the cover or pages of. It is such an odd thing to have someone want you to represent their brand, but it so flattering every single time. I would have to say that my experience with the Stardoll Magazine has been my favorite. The fact that I was featured in the pages of the real Stardoll Magazine four times (twice in English, once in French, and once in German) is crazy to me! It was kind of like a fairytale because the first six months I came to stardoll I was a weird non-superstar who used to look at the pages of the StarBlog, and then I was in them myself!

In our private conversations you mentioned that this wouldn't be a permanent departure, commenting, "I don't think it's possible to ever just go forward and never look back, especially when looking back is technically only a click away." Do you think you'll ever 'outgrow' Stardoll as they say, or will it always be something you come back to as a hobby/pastime? 

This is such a challenging question to answer. I never want to outgrow stardoll, ever, because I have loved everything it has given me, but yes I do think eventually I will be without it. I hope so anyways. I first came here because I wasn’t happy with my personal life. I needed an escape, and expressing myself always worked as an outlet for my emotions, so it was the perfect place to run off too. Now that I am going off to college, I hope I will work on my actual life and get it to the place where I won’t need such an outlet or escape. Either way I hope I can come back every now and then just to keep in touch with all the people I adore on here. 

You recently had an unpleasant experience with the Stardoll staff. Did that influence your decision to  walk away from Stardoll for a while, or was that always your plan?

Yes, absolutely! Just not in the way people may think. It wasn’t like I was “F**k Stardoll, they don’t even care!” It was more that I realized how everything I have spent so much time building up, really ultimately doesn’t matter. It could all be gone in a click of a mouse. It made me want to spend all my time building up my personal life instead, which will allow me to have a success that can’t be reported or deleted. I love stardoll and they have given me so much, I would never hold resentment towards them over one tiny setback. 

If you don't mind me asking, what are you planning on studying in college? What career would you like to pursue?

As of now I am in a “Business Undeclared” major which means I will most likely be majoring in some form of business without knowing exactly what I want to do yet. I still have a love for the way I can express myself through fashion on here, but I just don’t see myself talented enough to go into the field of fashion. As for a career, I still don’t really know. Fashion is not completely out of the picture, but I kind of want to test out different career paths and see where I feel the most comfortable. I have learned and grown a lot on stardoll, which will help me no matter what I do in life.

Until We Meet Again!

I can completely relate, as most of you know I took a year off when I started college. Stardoll can become all-consuming, and it's nerve-wracking enough to start a new and important phase in your life without worrying about distractions as well. But I hope this isn't good-bye! An interview with Mel is coming up, we'll find out then!

Mel getting deleted?

Few years ago, there was a 'glitch' (I guess) on stardoll that allowed a member to put a real photo on their presentation. The way of doing this was by going to the starblog, finding a picture of a models/celebrities/ ect., then the person would drag the photo to their presentation and saved and it, then it would be there for all your viewers to see. Well this lasted for a few months until stardoll fixed the glitch and banned real photo's from presentation.

One member got away with it and still to this day has real pictures in her presentation, Bluegreen86. Mel, whom recently ran for covergirl was told by Stardoll's Staff that she needs to either delete the photos on her presentation or she would be banned from Stardoll. I find it funny how Stardoll threatens to banned her account over photos when we have people like hackers hardly ever getting punished, from my knowledge.

You can't have real pictures in your presentation.

If your presentation is not changed within a week, your account will be deleted.
You will lose all of your Starcoins and Stardollars with no chance of refund if your account is deleted.

In that post Mel also asked the readers if they believed that this ruined her chance on winning Covergirl, or at least National Covergirl. Mel say she doesn't think this ruined her chance BUT she thought it was weird timing. I think there is no way in hell this ruined her chance, she once won covergirl with those same photos in her presentation, I'm sure if she had enough votes she would win again.

As of right now the photos are still there, but I'm guessing within the next week they will be gone.

PSG Exsclusive: The Alter Egos Of Stardoll

Over the years we have encountered many users with alter egos. Some do it for an escape. Some do it out of boredom. Some out of loneliness. And some have even done it for the sheer pleasure of fooling everyone. Either way I don't have any real opinion on it. To each his or her own. As long as they're not hurting anyone I suppose.

But its still extremely weird behavior though. On this post, I will tag other users suspected of alter ego activity. Feel free to comment on any users that you suspect of the same.

I'll start with the obvious. Many have said it anonymously in comments as well as my email inbox. Although I myself, I have no qualms about saying what a lot of people are thinking "out loud"...

Isabella's presentation says that she is a chef at a fancy restaurant, while BubblyMintys talks about her parents who supposedly own a fancy restaurant. They both share a love for cuisine. Isabella's bio claims to have grown up in the Philippines: "I am a single girl with Italian~Philippino~Spanish descent" she states. While Noelle's flag shows that she also LIVES in the Philippines. Meanwhile,BubblyMinty's presentation states: "I am of an Asian descent, mainly Chinese, but also some Vietnamese too..." and living in Great Britain.
Interesting indeed.

This very popular virtual couple may indeed just be one single person with a lot of time on their hands. Similar suites. Obsessive bios on stardoll profile. Could any 2 people in 2 separate parts of the world truly be this into each other? Especially at such a young age? Lets review the information:

Note that they're both Filipino and neither is actually residing in the Philippines. A little whisperer told me that neither has been seen on live webcam. Our sources have found this tidbit of information to be inconclusive. Or to put it simply: We haven't spoken to anyone who has seen them on cam before as of yet. Maybe one our our readers have?
Their suites are practically identical. And what straight guy is even that good at decorating his suite? And with hearts, sunflowers and animal print at that?

Time for another PSG Best & Worst Dressed list, brought to you by the letter "P", for Pink. And Perez. And Pancakes! Let's get it started:

Romantic

Jenny (bubblyminty) looked absolutely adorable in her own design, I love everything about her outfit, especially the layered tulle under her dress. Both her and kukipopoi managed to make their outfits super girlie without being cheesy, and both have a retro 50's twist to them. queen-of-mean was wearing exactly what I would choose for a Valentine's Day date in real life. She looked absolutely gorgeous, simple and elegant. alice2078's dress was cute, though there's something weird about the bodice, I think the way she arranged the flowers makes her torso look a little distorted.

Edgy

To_Royal ~ tapstar321 ~ Style_Magazine ~ SaltyDan

My girl Dei (To_Royal) was definitely one of the best dressed of the entire night! She looked badass, the layered bracelets and necklaces, the funky platforms, the crazy Tangled hair, it's all good, it's all win. tapstar321 is one of the few people I've seen pull off a pant-less outfit, and I really liked the gloves. If she had goggles on she'd look like a half-naked mad scientist. Style_Magazine described her outfit to me as "Slaveney", a term used by Britney Spears's fans to describe her Slave 4 U era.  Her style and attitude have certainly evolved since my old days on the blog, and I have to give her props for that! Though I would have loved for her to really bring the Britney. SaltyDan is the love of my Stardoll life. The end.

Elite-girl looked sweet and innocent, and I like how she styled her suite to go with her outfit. Mel's (bluegreen86) outfit was deceptively simple, it was made out of  layered branches! She is famous for this kind of stuff, check out her album it's awesome. I remember a gown she did a while back made entirely of grass that was absolutely stunning, I wish I could remember what article it was posted on.  Ruubin was an adorable little Marylin Monroe doll. Her outfit would have been another great retro look if she'd thrown on a little faux fur shrug. Zoe_COUTURE's outfit reminded me of Cher from Clueless! Love it!

I really loved JuciiMami827's outfit, it is very chic and very French. She looks like she's out shopping in Paris. I love her purse! I wasn't online when it came out, me wants it my precious!! :( Baya (EliteNews) showed up looking cute with a mysterious brunette. Brit-On-Me's outfit was awesome, it's very much my style. I really like how nicely he coordinated the funkiness of the jacket (another thing that I missed out on during my hiatus that ME WANTS) with the sleekness of the dress, and the cutesy hair bow. Everything went together perfectly.

Everyone in this group looks pissed! They're all, "We'll wear what we want and you'll like it!", and I do! Out of the 4 my favorite is Blahm3, her sleeves are fierce! I also really like MeiFAB's scary Russian Cossack look. It almost seems like she's about to randomly break out into that crazy kick dance. MissDancer853 looks like she'll cut a bitch, and Martusia_144, though my least favorite of the four, is well put together.

omgsmilingcows looks like a looney highschool Art teacher who can't wait to retire. Lindsay (xxdrivebylove) was doing sort of the same 50's/60's retro look as Jenny and kukipopoi, but hers was more Mad Men than Grease. I like the idea, but it just made her look old. freeduck_ (who just recently confessed in his presentation to making up the Lotita and Tyler story) looks like a Utah sister wife who snuck black hair dye onto the compound. And wtf vanilladream123? You look homeless. Like you found all that stuff in a dumpster and just threw it on.

You know what, Kasia's (UndamyUmbrellla) outfit wasn't that bad. I like the Joker-esque crazy old lady smudged lipstick, and pretty much the overall kookiness of the look. It just wasn't as impressive as what I usually see her in. BlahBlahBubble, were you digging out of the same dumpster as vanilladream123? EliteQueen was really insistent while I was at the party that I look at her outfit, so I was expecting something impressive, but I was underwhelmed. The dress itself is amazing, but she needed to have made it  her own with more interesting accessories. eltato just bored me. Not a bad outfit, but nothing special. 

The next party will be another classic PSG theme event, and I already know what I want it to be! Here's a hint:

Worst and best dressed of the week

Hey sorry for not posting much in the past week.

Baya/elitenews liked my worst dressed of the week post, so i am going to try do it as a regular thing.

The Bad:

Style_Magazine

Style_Magazine is generally a really nice person in my opinion.

She has a great sense of style and she always looks fierce.

But this week her outfit is really just totally uncoordinated. 

The colour matching is really bad, and the way she put it together really doesn't make any sense.

I don't really understand what its meant to be.

A dress ? A bodysuit ?

I am confused, the shoes really just don't fit in at all, and the jean shorts are just dreadful.

I know Style will redeem herself ! We all have those bad outfit days.

Classique Awards!!!

The Classique Awards took place yesterday. Unfortunately I couldn't attend, but according to what I read people were being a little disrespectful and To_Royal made a huge mistake when it came to announcing the winner for the Most Alluring Female award!! Bluegreen86 had won the award, but people complained that she had cheated by asking for votes, so Dei didn't give it to her and instead gave it to the runner-up, .Pease., but after Mel confronted Dei after the ceremony, Dei realized Mel didn't cheat after all and this morning Dei announce she was taking back the award from Linnea and giving it back to Mel. I believe it was fair for Mel to receive the award, but I just hate the fact that Linnea had to suffer. For complete coverage of what happened during the awards click HERE.

I thought I would share this interesting graphic that I found on new blog, SD Obession by Pop_star1234. The picture features parts of which I'm assuming are UndamyUmbrellla, Noelle_Page, Writemarycat, Style_Magazine, Bluegreen86, Isabella.Aric, and Fakeshake3 as a stitched up Elite Monster.

Kasia Hacked...Again!!

Poor UndamyUmbrellla, she got hacked again! This time the hacker (Katerina1996) took almost everything!

Just read what her friend Bluegreen86 posted about on SMW:
"Kasia, Undamyumbrellla, was just hacked once again! This time they made her account superstar and took almost every single thing that she owns! She changed almost everything she could to prevent anyone from getting on to her account yet Katerina1996 still got on to her account somehow and got all her items! EVERYONE REPORT HER!! AND BEWARE OF HER! SHE IS A DISGUSTING USER WHO OBVIOUSLY DOESN'T CARE ABOUT PERSONAL BOUNDARIES!"

Kasia Gets Hacked!!!

According to Bluegreen86, UndamyUmbrellla got hacked today.

Here's want Mel posted on SMW about the hacking:
"EVERYONE My best friend Kasia, (UNDAMYUMBRELLLA), had her account hacked today! THIS IS NOT FOR PUBLICITY AND SHE ISN'T MAKING THIS UP, THIS IS REAL! We are extremely close and we are both currently trying our hardest to restore her account and get it back to normal. Her medoll and suite are both ruined and who knows what else the hacker was able to get away with! Kasia is obviously extremely upset by this, so everyone please try to help us get it back! If anyone knows ANYTHING at all about this PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE contact me [Bluegreen86] via mail or gb comment so that we can get her account back. Everyone learn from this and WATCH OUT! There is obviously someone getting away with this out there so make sure that you do not go to shady sites, give out your password, or do anything that puts your account and personal email into danger!"

Hacking is stupid! People work hard to get their accounts to where they are. People should respect each other's property. Also, DON'T GIVE OUT YOUR PASSWORD!!! Plain and simple. Hopefully, Kasia get's her account back soon.

AskPaulinaGirls go ape shit!

A few weeks ago the ever helpful Stardoll Staff revealed their plan to close the popular club owned by Z-Lister Paulina Porizkova and super managed by the lovely bluegreen86, a few rumblings were apparent as the club members threw hissy fits at the news and even declared they would leave if it happened.

As usual Stardoll didn't give a shit and yesterday the club was closed, of course another was made by RunawayRachel which has already gotten over 3000 members as I write this post, but who cares about that! The real reason I am posting this is I wanted to share some of the wonderfully demented, hilarious and straight up crazy guest book messages Paulina received just before since the clubs termination. With all the kerfuffle and controversy surrounding Eternity's choice to display nudity as an art form, I just wanna put something out there...i guess it's my two cents but whatevs...

Another magazine decided to debut it's january issue with covergirl and all round bell de jour Melanie (aka Bluegreen86), the magazine is called D and I only really just found out about it (check it - it's amazing!).

Eternity upped the controversy factor with it's pics of Mel in her nuddie pants and yes...it got us all worked up, whether on artistic integrity or her age or some other shit that i never even knew existed but anyway i digress...but D magazine kept it pure and simple and i'll tell you something - they won me over with that issue because when Muse magazine (the real Muse magazine) depicted Lindsay Lohan dry humpin a dude in all her perma tanned glory nobody really wanted to see that did they? Everyone kind of went...yeuch! Come on biznatch put some clothes on u'll catch ur death and i kinda feel the same with Mel cos she's such a sweet chick and i'll be frank, i don't wanna be havin to check the size of her virtual bangers under that see-through muslin sheet yeah...

So i kinda feel obliged to stick with kasia on this one, D made a pretty gd magazine without plastering some chick's virtual ass to the whole world in the name of art - god, just because u can make a cartoon of a chick with her tits hanging on it don't make u picasso, it don't make u cultured or sophisticated or remotely interesting at all so pls ppls! Stop with the nuddies!

This BIG, confusing fight going on between Mel, Kasia, Mary, and Tyler can be summed up like this (if you do not feel like reading the interview):

-Tyler thinks that Kasia is BULLSHIT.
-Tyler had nothing to do with Eternity - just suggestions.
-Mel felt that the idea of nudity and fur was Ghetto, but fell for their little peer pressure when she heard Naomi Campbell had did it.
-Tyler is in denial.
-Mary is in denial.
-Kasia... is well, in denial.
-Mel, was in denial, until she came out in the comments of Charlotte's "Overreacting or stating the facts?" post.

Our interview, in it's entirety:

Anthony: Tyler. What was your part in the winter 2010 issue of Eternity Magazine?
Tylerisbold: To be completely and genuinely honest, I had no part. You see, when I was told about the article ideas for the comeback issue - I immediately decided that I was going to sit out for the making. Mary was totally OK with it, for she knew that I would not write something I was not inspired by.
Anthony: How do you feel about the graphics? Do you wish that you had more of a say in it?
Tylerisbold: I mean, I did have a say in the graphics and idea process - but it is not Mary would have changed her mind once it was already set.
Anthony: So you are saying that you had nothing to do with this issue - yet you took up for it, and pinned some of the blame on yourself. Why?
Anthony: Hello? Earth to Tyler...
Tylerisbold: OK, so here is the deal. I did have say in what went into the magazine's contents - but I really did not have a final confirmation. Therefor, I knew that whatever I said was just an idea. No official "job" was assigned to me for the issue. And, that being said... I do realize that I should not have took Kasia's comment as serious as I did. But I have noticed in the past that almost anything said or made up about me, people are going to believe. It is kind of sickening really, I sort of had to defend myself.
Anthony: Why did you have a tantrum and tell Mary to fire Mel?
Tylerisbold: Mel is an icon on Stardoll, people look up to her and they respect her. She is innocent in the eyes of the public. I had a feeling that something would go wrong and if it did, people would be on her side. Mel was too complicated with the idea process, honestly. And I think she should speak for herself, not have Kasia do for her. Mel wanted to be naked on the cover, without fur. She sated that wearing faux fur would make her appear "ghetto". Is the word ghetto not as offensive as the photo shoot was to some?
Anthony: 90 percent of art involves nudity... and I would say that 0 percent is ghetto.... So does this mean that there are still hard feelings between the two of you?
Tyler: Yes! I do - as would I. I feel that if not done artfully, fur can end up making you look like a whore in a B.E.T. music video... but that is off subject.
Anthony: Are there still hard feelings between the two of you?
Tylerisbold: Mel and I? There never was any.
Anthony: Aw, yes - but one would assume this because of your little fight. So, you guys are cordial. Why did Kasia let on that Mel was angry at you in her comments? They are best friends, and Mel tells her everything.
Tylerisbold: For manipulating her or something, yeah. Due to the fact that I "pushed" Mel into wearing fur rather than being completely nude. Plus, we already had a pose made by Alice (Hunnigall) for the cover. Which, indeed was not as revealing nor what Mel wanted. Something more risque was in mind, should I had? Once she saw Naomi Campbell had worn fur, naked: she was set. I can only imagine what Kasia would say if the photo shoots consisted of all nudity.
Anthony: How do you feel about Kasia's "breakdown" on the subject?
Tylerisbold: I did not... Think. I really did not care. I found out through a Stardoll-based blog and I did not even bother to log into Stardoll to view them. But when I did end up logging in, they were gone. Deleted I assume. If Kasia wants to stand up for something that she believes in, I am not going to stop her - but it was very unwise for her to consult me as if I owned the magazine myself, publicly.

How do you feel about the return of Stardoll's freakshow?

Overreacting or stating the facts?

Earlier as I was taking a look at Tylerisbold’s suite, I saw that Undamyumbrellla - the former writer here at PSG, had written to him. Me being the nosy person that I am decided to take a look at the message as it seemed a little... let’s say odd? As I proceeded to read the Guestbook messages it became clear that Kasia was talking about the newest Eternity cover and shoots that involved Bluegreen86 – Kasia’s best friend. Evidently she wasn't too fond of them, and she sure wanted him to know it.

What I truly dislike about what she said is how she calls Mary ‘’awful’’, knowing that they were once good friends. What do you think of this, is the cover really that scandalous? Now that Kasia may be finally leaving, is she saying everything she held back when she was on top of the stardoll ‘social scene’ that she now so badly despises?

PS. Did anyone else realise that Britneys07's account has been deleted? Odd seeing as just yesterday she was asking Tyler for a comment on the E ''release'', which made me think that she was going to bring back her blog, peculiar...
