Their smiles weren't giving anything away as The Saturdays turned on the Oxford Street lights minus fifth member Frankie Sandford.

It was business as usual as the quartet lit up the iconic London street with cheers from the waiting crowd braving the cold as they chanted for the pop princesses.

They joined Toby Anstis and U.S. duo The Pierces, who have already made a name for themselves in their native America and are trying their luck to win over an army of UK fans.

As Una Healy, Rochelle Wiseman, Mollie King and Vanessa White flicked the switch, they kept warm in winter coats, teasing fans that they would remain covered up during their performance.

But the girls whipped off their jackets to reveal plenty of flesh to sing new single My Heart Takes Over, with Mollie, 24, daring to bare in a festive glitzy basque and a pair of thigh-skimming shorts.

Mother-to-be Una, 30, showed off the slightest hint of a bump, although her silhouette still looked svelte despite expecting her first child with Ben Foden in 2012.

She was preparing for the event by gushing on Twitter this morning, saying: 'So excited to be turning on the Oxford Street Christmas Lights with @tobyanstis later on today, such an honour. X'

Bandmate Rochelle, 22, was elated that they were following in the footsteps of a certain homegrown pop act, saying: 'My childhood dream has come true woo (sic) x

Despite the absence of Frankie, the girls are hardly slowing down over the festive period.
This month they are scheduled to start rehearsing for their upcoming All Fired Up tour which starts on December 2 in Bournemouth and they are also preparing to release third album On Your Radar.

Frankie, 22, was admitted to hospital in October, and although reasons were unclear, a spokesperson insisted the treatment had nothing to do with drugs, alcohol or cosmetic surgery.
Writing on her Twitter page today, Wayne Bridge's girlfriend said nothing of the Oxford Street extravaganza, simply saying: 'Just got my lovely little godchildren some beautiful clothes from @KlassMyleene for there birthday! I love Internet shopping.Cutest outfits!'
