3 Robbery Suspects Killed In Lagos, One Arrested

•Bodies of the suspected robbers and the one caught alive.
Three armed robbers were in the early hours of this morning gunned down by anti-robbery policemen from Ajah Police Division in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.
Two of the suspected robbers escaped while one of them was arrested.
A police source told P.M.NEWS that the robbers stormed Aden Estate, beside Abraham Adesanya Estate, Ajah, at about 1 a.m. today and attacked a businessman and his family.
P.M.NEWS investigations revealed that while the robbers were trying to gain access into the residence of the businessman, he hid somewhere and called his friend who later called the Ajah Police Area command and their divisional headquarters.
The anti-robbery policemen laid ambush for the robbers who ran into the ambush after their operation.
The police killed three of them, arrested one while the other two escaped.
The arrested robber gave his name as Kazeem Alao from Ikota near Ajah. One of the dead robbers was later identified as Tunde Sanni.
It was learnt that Sanni had escaped from police custody while he was being taken for interrogation by policemen from Lagos about three months ago.
Items recovered from the robbers include one Ak-47 rifle with ammunition, one U.S-made brownie pistol with ammunition and one locally made pistol with several cartridges.
The suspect arrested has made a useful statement to the police at Ajah Police Division where he is currently being detained and undergoing interrogation.
