It's Announcements Time Yal!

Okay, so because Friday's iheartperez party was a giant clusterfuck, I never got to make the announcements that I told you about! My internet connection was soooo slow I'm pretty sure it's just a hamster on a wheel running the damn thing, so my audio was shitty and super delayed and eventually my computer spazzed out and froze altogether. There were tons of people trying to get on audio and cam all at once and it was kind of a mess for a while, but I heard Dan and Jack held down the hosting responsibilities while my laptop was covered in fail sauce, and by all accounts people had a good, albeit kinda crazy, time! Thanks to everyone who came and everyone who messaged me, I love you guys! On to the announcements!

This is an idea that Dan had a really long time ago, and we were messing around with the possibility of finally doing it on tinychat audio! We want to do a weekly radio show where we discuss the latest news on Stardoll, interview special guests, and basically talk shit lol. I'll have to see how it goes since the technical difficulties at the party, but it worked fine when I was testing out tinychat before, so I think it'll work as long as it's just me and Dan and whoever we're interviewing, and then the listeners can comment in the chat on what we're talking about, ask questions, etc.

Also, me and toxxic.angel are starting a beauty blog together called Toxxic Perez beauty where we'll review real life cosmetics and skin and haircare products, as well as tutorials on real life and Stardoll make-up techniques. Chloe was inspired by a post I did last year on youtube beauty gurus and started her own successful channel, and it's great! We'll also feature her videos on our blog, but check her out now and subscribe you won't regret it (she's so cute, she looks just like her doll!):

I also want to start doing events every other week, not sure exactly where or how yet, but definitely something I'll do with my fauxsband Prime_Tyme. I want to bring back the fun of Club_Star, back in the day it was open every Friday night and people would just come to hang out at random. I think it would be cool to have a weekly get together where people can all interact in a group. Way too often I see a ton of my friends all online at the same time, and messaging me about how bored they are. Why not be bored together?

And the final announcement, which is pretty obvious by now judging from the above,  is that I want to return to being more active on Stardoll and the blog. Like actually sign on and contribute on a regular basis and not just once a year like it's fxcking Groundhog Day. I'm pretty much just gonna write about whatever I feel like. Gossip, shop news, trends, fashion critiques, maybe I'll bring back Style Stalker since our last SS writer turned out to be the Wynona Ryder of Stardoll and was carted off to Stardoll Fail Jail. The possibilities are endless. If it's not gossipy enough for you, you can suck it! Jay kay, I love you! No but really, you can suck it.

He actually got her to take out her batteries and act like a human being and not just a Stylebot! That conversation made me like and respect her a lot more though, it was nice to finally see a real person underneath her ice queen exterior. I miss Style, where has she been??

PSG 3 Year Anniversary!

To celebrate the three year anniversary of the blog we're having a party! I miss throwing events, and since the new guestbook commenting policy really screws up having the party on Stardoll, we're having it on tinychat.com! The theme is Valentine's Day/PINK. Taylor Swift - Speak Now

StarTishthe2nd made me into a scenery of one of my favorite albums, Taylor Swift's Speak Now!! I was so excited when I saw it this morning! I bought this CD the day it came out, as did a lot of people, and it's actually in my car right now battling it out with my Christmas CDs that I'm still listening to. I think Tish did a pretty good job recreating the album artwork!

I was never really a Swift fan until this album, and I'm so glad I gave it a chance because it's fantastic. My favorite songs are definitely, "I'm Sorry Taylor Lautner", "Screw You John Mayer!", "Camilla Belle's A Whore", "I'm Crashing Your Wedding!" and "Fuck The Critics, I CAN Sing!" Can't wait for the "Jake Gyllenhaal Broke My Heart" album, can you??

Black Swan Movie Review

It's been a while since I've gone to a movie and left completely and utterly dumbfounded, and that's exactly how Darren Aronofsky's new film left me. Black Swan is a psychological thriller (emphasis on the 'psycho') starring Natalie Portman as Nina, a talented and driven ballerina whose sole dream is to be The Swan Queen in her company's ballet. The only problem is, while she's perfect for the White Swan half of the role, she's too much of a precious goody-two-shoes to really capture the dark passion necessary for the Black Swan half of the role. Her company's director, played by the sexy Vincent Cassel (this scene from Ocean's Twelve always gets me!), pits her against Lily, played by Mila Kunis, who is essentially everything that Nina is not: sexy, passionate, mysterious..

Then, just when you suspect that this is going to be a sophisticated version of Bring It On, with Lily telling Nina it's already been broughten, shit starts to get really really weird. Namely because, well, Nina is ker-ay-zy! They never really come right out and say it, but yeah, bitch be crazy. I'll stop there because I don't want to give too much away, but seriously if you have a chance to (unfortunately it's on limited release, though with all the great reviews it's getting I'm sure they have plans to send it to more theaters), and you're old enough of course, you MUST see this movie! Just prepare to leave emotionally exhausted. This film is mind-f*ckery at its best.

It Gets Better!

Hey everyone! I'm sure most of you have heard of the recent gay teen suicides, and seen the "It Gets Better" anti-bullying campaign of videos featuring everyone from Kim Kardashian to President Obama. The tragedies have really inspired a strong reaction out of people, notably my namesake and blog inspiration, Perez Hilton. He uploaded a video in which he said that after posting about the tragedies and condemning bullying on his blog, a lot of his readers accused him of being a hypocrite, as he himself is seen as one of the biggest bullies in Hollywood. He really took this to heart, and responded by taking an honest look at himself and genuinely pledging to hold himself to a higher standard and not be part of the problem:


Even I had stopped going to his website, after a while I just grew tired of the constant negativity. But after watching that video I decided to support him again, and there has been a significant change in the tone of his blog. He still pokes fun at celebrities, but is no longer mean-spirited and cruel. It's been really inspiring to witness, and it got me to thinking about this blog and my behavior. I always thought that this blog was harmless and all in good fun, but did anyone ever see me as cruel and mean-spirited? Did I sometimes go too far? What are your thoughts on the gay teen suicides, and bullying in general? I'd love to discuss this with you guys so please leave a comment below!

Back to the Beach!

It's time for the first Stardoll party of the summer!! (actually not sure if it's the first, but whatever lol) School's out for most of us, and my summer internship doesn't start until July so I should have plenty of free time for the next few weeks. Like I said in my last post, I really want to try and do more TPA events so we'll see how it goes. First up, Back to the Beach! I kinda want to have it this Sunday, but leave your suggestions in the comments for when's the best day and time. Dress code will of course be beachy/summery, keeping it simple. P.S. I definitely have the current MAC to the Beach collection on the brain cuz I just bought a bunch of it lol, has anyone else gotten anything from the collection?

Youtube Make-up Gurus!

Just stopping by to say hi and talk to you guys about something I've been enjoying lately. One of my roommates is really into youtube and actually does make-up tutorials on her channel. Through her I've really gotten into the make-up gurus on youtube, and I thought you guys would like them too! I've always been a make-up junkie, I have waaaaaay too much it's kind of ridiculous. But these girls don't make me feel so bad about it, some of them have upwards of $3,000 worth of make-up in their collections (just based on what I've seen in their videos), maybe more!



There are make-up gurus on youtube of all ages, skin tones, and skin types. They give great tips on make-up application, hairstyling, skincare, reviews of new products, and they've introduced me to great brands that I'd never even heard of before. One is www.coastalscents.com, a company that is best known for their eyeshadow and blush palettes. I now own three of them, and I cannot recommend them enough! Each one comes with 88 different shades of incredibly pigmented eyeshadows for only between $19-$25 a palette! Just one MAC eyeshadow alone is $14.50, and Coastal Scents shadows are just as good in terms of quality.

ThePoisonApple

Ever since the mysterious deletion of TheSweetEscape- I've had people asking me about starting a new Stardoll nightclub. A while back Springy had come to me with an idea he had about a fairytale-themed nightclub called ThePoisonApple, but he never did anything with it. A few weeks ago I remembered it and what a great idea it was, and I thought now would be a great time to finally do it! So I present to you ThePoisonApple! (click images to enlarge):

Snow White's Poison Apple Bar & Lounge

The main room is based on Snow White and the house she shared with the Seven Dwarves. Only one dwarf currently works with us though, since stupid Stardoll wouldn't let me buy more than one :(

Alice in Wonderland's Tea Party

The second room is a take on Alice in Wonderland's crazy tea party with the Mad Hatter and March Hare, complete with an upside-down Unbirthday cake, framed playing cards, and the Cheshire Cat hiding in the rose bushes that haven't been painted red by the Queen's guards yet. This is probably my favorite room!

Willy Wonka's Chocolate Waterfall

I know Charlie and the Chocolate Factory isn't technically considered a fairytale, but I couldn't help but make this room! I did my best in recreating the look of the Fudge Room from the movie, and substituted gingerbread men for the Oompa Loompas :):)

Cinderella (based on singingmermaid's design)

Some of you will recognize this room from the article Stardoll Loves Disney in which I featured singingmermaid's Cinderella-inspired room. I recreated it as best as I could, with her permission, and even though it doesn't look as great as hers I really love it and I'm grateful she let me do it. I still need to master my use of perspective when resizing objects. I know she could do something much cooler with the Willy Wonka room!
