Hurricane ACN sweeps through the South West of Nigeria

Fashola, Ajimobi, and Amosun voting yesterday.

The Action Congress of Nigeria candidates in the just concluded gubernatorial elections in the South West of Nigeria have won their elections in the states where governorship elections were conducted defeating their closest rivals the candidates of the People's Democratic Party.


Senator Ibikunle Amosun ACN gubernatorial candidate in Ogun state defeated Gen Adetunji Olurin (rtd.) candidate of PDP and Alhaji Gboyega Isiaka of PPN (the party of the outgoing governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel).

Alhaji Babatunde Raji Fashola ACN gubernatorial candidate in Lagos state (incumbent governor) defeated Mr. Dosunmu of PDP and Comrade Ayodele Akele of Labour Party.

Senator Abiola Ajimobi ACN gubernatorial candidate in Oyo state defeated Adebayo Alao-Akala of PDP (incumbent governor) and Senator Rahidi Ladoja of Accord Party.

ACN also won majority of the house of assembly seats in the South West of Nigeria.
