At the extravagant April wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, Westminster Abbey was full of royals, heads of state and politicians.

But at the smaller scale nuptials of Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall today, it was somewhat more of a glamorous guest list with stars from the world of pop, TV and sport garnering attention.

Leading the famous faces in the pews of Canongate Kirk in Edinburgh were soap star Katherine Kelly, The Saturdays' singer Una Healy and TV presenter Kirsty Gallacher.

And of course, there was plenty of representation from the world of sport, with both Tindall's teammates past and present and Phillips' colleagues from the riding world in attendance.

One of the first to arrive was Coronation Street actress Kelly, who went for a Seventies-look in a pale pink asymmetrical ankle-length dress by James Stewart Couture and a striking orange hat and oversized clutch bag.

Kelly, 31, is an old schoolfriend of Tindall, with her parents living close to his father Phil and mother Linda in Yorkshire.

She said recently: 'I went to school in Wakefield with Mike. Our parents live in the same village and we’ve stayed really good mates.'

Going for a much sexier look was Irish singer Healy, 29, in a black floral-print bandeau dress and white and mocha peep-toe heels.

She accesorised her tight dress with an oversized saucer hat by milliner Philip Treacy, pale pink pashmina and a nude clutch.

Healy attended with her boyfriend, Northampton Saints and England player Ben Foden - a teammate of Tindall.

Ahead of the nuptials, she wrote of her excitement at being invited on Twitter: 'Thanks to my stylists Frank Strachan and Lloyd Powell for sorting me a Philip Treacy Hat for The Royal Wedding tomorrow!

'Just about to take off for Edinburgh with Ben, really excited for the weekend.'

Sky Sports presenter Gallacher, who wed rugby player Paul Sampson last year, found her pretty multi-coloured dress overshadowed by her unusual jade fascinator.

Gallacher has become good friends with the bride thanks to their respective spouses, who were previously teammates for Bath.

The TV presenter even became one of the lucky few to see Zara's Stewart Parvin dress before the big day.

The 35-year-old said: 'Zara's so cool, she's going to look amazing, she's chosen a beautiful dress.

'Mike and Zara are brilliant together. She's so good for him, she's so chilled out and he's quite laid back as well so they fit together really nicely.

'Obviously she's really into sport and he loves the life they lead together with the horses and they've got lots of dogs so it's lovely.'

Another TV star in attendance was Natalie Pinkham, an old friend of Prince Harry, who wore a red dress, nude heels and twisted crepe fascinator.

Among those from the rugby world watching Miss Phillips making an honest man of Tindall included Jonny Wilkinson, Austin Healy, Martin Johnson, Lewis Moody, Clive Woodward, David Flatman and Lawrence Dallaglio.

Cheering on the bride as she walked down the aisle were her fellow eventers William Fox-Pitt, Elizabeth Power and Jayne Doherty.

Una Healy celebrates Ben Foden's 25th by slipping into a little white dress

Happy birthday baby! Una Healy celebrates Ben Foden's 25th by slipping into a little white dress

It was her boyfriend’s 25th birthday, so Una Healy made sure to celebrate by slipping into a little white dress and peach peep-toe heels.

The Saturdays singer took her rugby star beau to Nobu restaurant in London, where they dined alongside her parents, Ben’s brother Tom and friends.

She tweeted on the special day: ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the love of my life @ben_foden.’

But the 29-year-old Irish beauty didn’t appear to end her night with such excitement, as she had to fill her car up with petrol and take her parents home.

Meanwhile her long-term boyfriend apparently went off for a boys’ night out following their dinner.

Ben left the restaurant arm in arm with his singer girlfriend before going in separate directions and looked very chic in smart jeans and a grey suit jacket.

Meanwhile, the couple have an exciting month ahead, as they will be attending Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall’s royal wedding on 30 July.

Ben plays rugby with Mike and after sparking up a friendship, Zara and her fiancé invited the couple to attend their ceremony at Canongate Kirk on Edinburgh's Royal Mile.

Una has been frantically trying to decide what to wear and is trying to find the perfect dress.

She told the Daily Star recently: ‘I don’t know what to wear, maybe the same designer that made Princess Beatrice’s hat for Kate and Wills’ wedding?’

Zara and Mike will also have about 20 friends from Australia attending the wedding, as that’s where they met and fell in love in 2003 while Mike was playing in the Rugby World Cup.

Other more high profile guests include the Queen and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate.

But on top of finding wedding outfits, Una has been busy promoting The Saturdays latest single titled Notorious, which was released in May ahead of their upcoming third album.

Una and her band mates Frankie Sandford, Vanessa White, Mollie King and Rochelle Wiseman are said to start their third headlining tour All Fired Up Tour later this year.

Frankie Sandford shows off her endlessly long bronzed legs with boyfriend Wayne Bridge

Frankie Sandford shows off her endlessly long bronzed legs on day out with boyfriend Wayne Bridge

London might have been hit by rain today, but that certainly didn't stop Frankie Sandford getting her legs out as she enjoyed spending time with boyfriend Wayne Bridge.

The 22-year-old singer donned a tiny pair of beige shorts which showed off her endlessly long pins as she and Wayne headed out in the capital this afternoon.

And, thanks to her recent holiday with footballer Wayne, Frankie was sporting a deep golden tan which ensured she stood out on the streets of London.

Frankie teamed her tiny shorts with a white T-shirt top, navy blue blazer, shoe boots and a leopard-print scarf for her afternoon out.

Manchester City player Wayne meanwhile kept it casual in a pair of blue jeans and a navy jumper to colour coordinate with his girlfriend.

Talking about her relationship with Wayne earlier this year, Frankie said things were 'going great'.

She added: 'We're just a normal couple really. We love going on dates to the cinema and to restaurants.

'Wayne's really special though, and it's so different with him. He's just so sweet and shy.'

It was recently claimed that the couple are alraedy planning to move in together, with their relationship going from strength to strength.

A source told Now magazine: 'They're serious - Wayne has never felt like this. He wants her to move in, but there's no way they can decide when or where, with his football schedule and her commitments with the band.

'But Wayne's determined to show her he's serious.'

And it seems shorts were a popular fashion choice for The Saturdays, as Mollie King and Una Healy yesterday went for denim options.

However Rochelle Wiseman played it slightly safe in a pair of bright yellow trousers, which she paired with unusual coloured zig-zag shoes and a tan leather jacket.

Rochelle today again opted to stay relatively covered up, in a pair of light jeans and a white sheer shirt.

The girls had a busy day promoting their forthcoming single All Fired Up, due for release on September 4th,

The track, the follow-up to their hit single Notorious, premiered on Scott Mills' Radio 1 show this afternoon.

All Fired Up, described as a 'dance pop banger', received mixed reviews from fans however.

While some took to Twitter raving about the new track, others said it didn't live up to the musical standard set by the girl group.

It can be difficult to know what to wear in London at the moment, given that one minute it's raining and the next it's bright sunshine.

And The Saturdays star Una Healy certainly appeared to be struggling with her outfit choice as she arrived at the ITV studios this afternoon for an interview on The Graham Norton Show.

The 29-year-old singer grimaced as she attempted to hold down the bottom of her playsuit shorts while making her way inside.

But, as the wind grew stronger, Una had to work harder and harder to maintain her modesty in the summery outfit.

And Una expressed her frustration at the changing conditions, writing on her Twitter page: 'Left the house in summery clothes as it was lovely and sunny... Now its pouring rain! Oh gosh this weather is messed up!'

Una wasn't the only member of The Saturdays to have slightly misjudged the weather conditions this afternoon.

Mollie King arrived at the studios wearing a nautical blue and white printed dress and brown sandals.

But blonde Mollie clearly hadn't predicted the wind, and was almost blown away by a particularly strong gust which left her hair looking dishevelled.

Frankie Sandford had clearly decided to be cautious in her outfit as she arrived at the studios wearing skinny jeans, sky-high heels and a black leather jacket.

The 22-year-old also showed off her new haircut after debuting her short elfin crop earlier this week.

Vanessa White, meanwhile, looked trendy in white vest top and skirt, which she teamed with a white cable-knit cardigan, brown boots and a Union Jack scarf.

The girls have been working hard to promote their new single Notorious in recent weeks.

As well as a performance on Graham Norton, which will be shown tomorrow night, the girls will be appearing on T4 on Saturday and both Daybreak and Lorraine on Monday.

They are also gearing up to release their next single All Fired Up ahead of their as yet untitled third album later this year.

The Saturdays will also be showcasing their new material on their All Fired Up Arena Tour which begins in December.
