The Saturdays light up Oxford Street by flicking the switch, but Frankie is still absent

All we want for Christmas is Frankie! The Saturdays light up Oxford Street by flicking the switch, but fifth member is still absent

Their smiles weren't giving anything away as The Saturdays turned on the Oxford Street lights minus fifth member Frankie Sandford.

It was business as usual as the quartet lit up the iconic London street with cheers from the waiting crowd braving the cold as they chanted for the pop princesses.

They joined Toby Anstis and U.S. duo The Pierces, who have already made a name for themselves in their native America and are trying their luck to win over an army of UK fans.

As Una Healy, Rochelle Wiseman, Mollie King and Vanessa White flicked the switch, they kept warm in winter coats, teasing fans that they would remain covered up during their performance.

But the girls whipped off their jackets to reveal plenty of flesh to sing new single My Heart Takes Over, with Mollie, 24, daring to bare in a festive glitzy basque and a pair of thigh-skimming shorts.

Mother-to-be Una, 30, showed off the slightest hint of a bump, although her silhouette still looked svelte despite expecting her first child with Ben Foden in 2012.

She was preparing for the event by gushing on Twitter this morning, saying: 'So excited to be turning on the Oxford Street Christmas Lights with @tobyanstis later on today, such an honour. X'

Despite the absence of Frankie, the girls are hardly slowing down over the festive period.
This month they are scheduled to start rehearsing for their upcoming All Fired Up tour which starts on December 2 in Bournemouth and they are also preparing to release third album On Your Radar.

Frankie, 22, was admitted to hospital in October, and although reasons were unclear, a spokesperson insisted the treatment had nothing to do with drugs, alcohol or cosmetic surgery.
Writing on her Twitter page today, Wayne Bridge's girlfriend said nothing of the Oxford Street extravaganza, simply saying: 'Just got my lovely little godchildren some beautiful clothes from @KlassMyleene for there birthday! I love Internet shopping.Cutest outfits!'

The Saturdays sport miserable faces amid reports a two-year hiatus is on the cards

Something you want to tell us, girls? The Saturdays sport miserable faces amid reports a two-year hiatus is on the cards

They've become a huge pop success since they broke on to the scene three years ago both in their professional and personal lives.

But the Saturdays didn't look like they had much to be happy about as they left their manager's office last night looking very miserable.

However, with rumours abound that the girls are to take a two-year break at the end of their upcoming tour, their long faces would explain a lot.

Cheer up, Una, you're going to be a mummy! The Saturday's Miss Healy, who announced last week that she was pregnant, leaves her manager's house looking blue amid reports the girl group are set to take a break

Una Healy, Mollie King and Vanessa White sported glum faces as they left the the house in London and silently made their way home.

Vanessa seemed to be the most upset as she pulled her hoodie right over her head and kept her head down as she clutched a 2012 Saturdays calendar.

And when asked by the photographers if she was looking forward to her two years off, she wouldn't comment and kept quiet as she walked past.

Mollie cuddled close to her poodle Alfie close to her and wouldn't raise a smile and she and her pet pooch climbed into her car.

And Una, who announced last week that she was expecting her first child with boyfriend Ben Foden, got straight into her car without a word.

She opened a CD - which turned out to be Nicola Roberts' solo debut album - and put it on before she drove away, not looking up at the cameras.

Frankie Sandford and Rochelle Wiseman were not seen, possibly having left early or not made it to their manager's place at all.

It came as a surprise to see the girls look so down, especially as they always have sunny dispositions and always have a smile or a cheeky face to pull for the cameras.

Let's go home, Alfie: Mollie, who usually flashes her winning smile for the cameras, couldn't even raise a grin as she and her dog got into her car

But it might have something to do with rumours that emerged yesterday that the girls are planning to take a two-year break once they have completed their All Fired Up tour in December.

According to fansshare.com, the hiatus will last at least two years which may have been prompted after Una announced she was pregnant.

Rather than go on without her, some of the group are believed to be interested in pursuing solo work, just like girl band before them Girls Aloud.

But according to the website, the Saturdays are insisting that they will get back together again once the time is right.

She's three months pregnant, but Una Healy is showing no signs of altering her wardrobe any time soon.

The 29-year-old singer, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Ben Foden, stepped out in a typically rock chick outfit of a white mouth-print white and red vest top teamed with black slashed leggings.

Una teamed her outfit with a pair of black tasseled silver boots and heavy eye make-up as she joined the rest of The Saturdays for a special Arthur's Day performance at the Guinness Hopstore in Dublin, Ireland, today.

Yesterday, Una had tweeted her excitement about the day's events, writing: 'We will be in Dublin tomorrow for Arthurs day!doing a couple of performances too - one will be a surprise acoustic set in a pub:)'

Arthur's Day is a one-day music festival which was first started in 2009 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Guinness and for fans of the dark stuff to raise a glass to the founder of the drink, Arthur Guinness.

Talking about participating in the day, The Saturdays said in a statement: 'We are thrilled to be joining in the Arthur’s Day celebrations.

'We can’t wait to see our fans in Ireland and we are particularly looking forward to rocking up for a secret gig in a Dublin pub, To Arthur!'

Una was joined by bandmates Mollie King, Frankie Sanford, Rochelle Wiseman and Vanessa White as the girls prepared for the first performance at the Guinness store.

And while pregnant Una opted for the rock chick look, the rest for the girls went for a variety of outfits.

As Mollie went for a quirky schoolgirl look in shorts, knee-high socks and boots, Vanessa opted for a checked shirt and vest top while Frankie and Rochelle donned more feminine dresses.

The girls have been incredibly supportive since Una announced her happy news.

She confirmed the news on Twitter, writing: 'Yes the news is true! @ben_foden and I are expecting a baby BenUna! We are both very excited.

'I am overwhelmed by all of your wonderfully positive and kind well wishes. Thank you all soooo much. So much love. And just to reassure all Saturdays fans its all systems go and I will be remaining fully committed to the band and our Tour in December.

'How lucky will the little baby be with 4 gorgeous Aunties @FrankieTheSats @MollieTheSats @RochelleTheSats @vanessawhite see you soon.'

After Una tweeted the news, her bandmates soon followed with their congratulations.

Frankie wrote: 'We're so excited about our first mini Sats member! He or she is gonna be so spoiled by the most over protective aunties ever!!! X

Rochelle admitted the secret had been burning a hole in her tongue, writing: 'Wow that was the hardest secret I've ever had to keep. So excited and happy for Una to have a baby! I'm gonna be an aunty woo :).'

Mollie added: 'Congrats to our beauty Una Healy and Ben Foden!! The first of many Sats babies! So so excited for u both. Bring on the babysitting! Mwah! x

Vanessa tweeted: 'Soo excited about Una Healy having a lil buba what an amazing mum she will be! Can't wait xx.'

Una and boyfriend Ben Foden, 26, started dating in 2008 when his agent approached her on the England rugby player's behalf.

What, no hot pants? Pregnant Una Healy and The Saturdays cover up in floor-length gowns at Cavalli launch

They’re a girl band renowned for wearing thigh-skimming shorts or miniskirts all year round, but last night The Saturdays tried a different approach to fashion.

Una Healy, who is three months pregnant, led the way as she covered up in a floor-length sequinned black gown while attending the Roberto Cavalli store launch during London Fashion Week.

The 29-year-old, who dates rugby star Ben Foden, was joined by her girls Vanessa White, Rochelle Wiseman, Mollie King and Frankie Sandford, who all wore stunning dresses.

Vanessa, 21, and Mollie, 24, both opted for leopard-print designs, which Cavalli is renowned for favouring in his fabrics.

Frankie, who arrived with her footballer boyfriend Wayne Bridge, opted for a turquoise mermaid-inspired gown that featured a cut out waist.

The 22-year-old loves showing off her impressive midriff so it was no surprise she took the opportunity to show Cavalli how she can wear a dress.

And Rochelle, 22, arrived in snakeskin gown alongside her JLS boyfriend Marvin Humes.

But The Saturdays were by no means the only celebrity guests checking out the Italian fashion designer’s store.

Also joining the 70-year-old style icon to celebrate was American actress Rosario Dawson, who had previously been at Selfridges were Beyonce was launching her collection.

Tamara Beckwith also arrived at the venue, as did Ronnie Wood alongside Ana Araujo, model Noelle Reno and X Factor’s Cher Lloyd.

Lloyd appeared to have toned down her Swagger Jagger for the evening and went for an elegant look that combined a nude lace dress, black tights and a matching blazer.

Pixie Lott, who has been a regular on the London Fashion Week circuit this season, arrived with her boyfriend Oliver Cheshire at the Battersea Power Station.

While Lady Victoria Hervey grabbed the photographer’s attention by sporting a bright red cut away gown and Holly Valance stunned in black.

Cavalli was celebrating his new Sloane Street boutique, which is located just up the road from his old boutique.

His shop boasts both men’s and women’s wear, as well as accessories, eyewear and watches.

The Italian is loved by celebrities worldwide and is often worn by Jennifer Lopez and Heidi Klum.

He told In Style this month: ‘I have always loved London and I have always found Sloane Street to be the perfect showcase for my collections.

‘I decided to open a bigger boutique as I see London as a glam, cool market, and the demand for my fashion is constantly growing.’

The Saturdays have a rapid make-under heading home in comfy clothes after looking glam at GQ Awards

Not so Fired Up? The Saturdays have a rapid make-under heading home in comfy clothes after looking glam at GQ Awards

They stepped out onto the red carpet looking polished to perfection and sporting seriously stylish looks.

But while The Saturdays wowed at the GQ Men Of The Year Awards ceremony they weren’t in the mood to stick around for the after-party.

Rochelle Wiseman, Una Healy, Frankie Sandford, Vanessa White and Mollie King were quick to exit the plush bash heading for the May Fair hotel.

And within minutes the band emerged following a quick make under stepping out in the day-to-day clothes.

Frankie emerged from the hotel covered up in a pair of jeans, knee high boots, a leather jacket, a red leopard print scarf and was carrying a black Hermes Birkin bag.

And while the singer still had her red-carpet ready make-up on her ensemble was a far cry from her glamorous asymmetrical LBD which boasted a dipping back and ruffled detail which she teamed with a pair of sparkling silver sandals.

Mollie, who had also opted for a little black dress which she had teamed with bright pink lips and peep toe Louboutins, emerged from the hotel in jeans and a Lavish Alice blouse.

Una Healy had opted for a daring and different look at the GQ Awards in a sparkling black and pink dress with cut out neckline and piping detail.

The Irish singer emerged from the hotel in a floral blouse and jeans as she headed for home carrying the goody bag, which contained a whole host of men’s grooming products.

But after a quick dress down post-party she headed for home in balck and white checked skirts and a leather jacket.

Vanessa White had stepped out in a supershort black dress with grey patterned detail, a wide waist belt and Aldo heels, teaming her ensemble with dramatic purple lips.

Only Rochelle, who had showed off her wild side in a plum leopard print dress by Dolce and Gabbana which she had matched with a pair of dramatic heels and dark vampish lips remained in her awards ceremony attire to make the journey home.

While the girls didn’t stay at for the after-party, which is likely to be down to their busy promotional schedule for their new single All Fired Up, they nearly didn’t make it at all.

The girls were waiting for their outfits at the May Fair hotel earlier in the evening but with the clock ticking down the singers were told their ensembles had been sent to their record label in Kensington instead.
