SFW A/W'11: Day 3

Day 3 of SFW went smoothly once again and three more collections were successfully released! I would usually go through every collection and give you my review here, but seeing that only a few commented yesterday's post, I felt I would be wasting my time going to depth about each collection, so for those who are interested in reading my thoughts about today's releases then click HERE for my review on Wonderland Of E Couture, HERE for my Monster review, and HERE for the Fantasy Couture review.

SFW A/W'11: Day 2

Day 2 of Stardoll Fashion Week went surprisingly well. Three collections were released without any delays and interruptions!

The first release was Dog_boy96's collection, Kharma. A collection that was received well at the party. The warm colors give the collection a dark modern feel, but the platforms really give the collection a strong edge. Definitely a wearable collection!

Second released was my favorite of the day, the BYS collection, designed by Blahm3 & Tonia.ftw! The collection was inspired by the circus. The variety of the colors make this collection exciting and fun. The very high platforms really make the models look statuesque!

Last released was my least favorite of the day, the Extraordinary collection, designed by Fashionman. & xxlovexx. It's a large collection full of a couple of nice pieces, but other than that I dislike the colors and I don't find the 'extraordinary' aspect of the collection. But to be fair, I admire all the work put into this very huge and detailed collection.

SFW: Day 1

Yes, Stardoll Fashion Week is back in full swing!!! Day one is the day where Starbazaar designers release their stunning prints in two items. Thanks to Stardoll's new sales restrictions, these really will be very limited, so act fast!! Click on their names to go to their couture boutiques:

On the topic of prizes, from later today the official lottery tickets will be on sale again from FashionWeekSD, and three lucky winners at the end of the week will win a special photoshoot and interview in Eternity, as well as a 100 stardollar prize! Yes, Eternity is returning! But we'll leave that until after this week.

As a media partner for Stardoll Fashion Week, I'm obliged to announced that the new faces of SFW are Iovanca and FierceIsMyThing!!!!

These pixelated beauties will join last season's face of SFW, Coconut_Nicole in all the promos for this season's upcoming fashion week!!

Don't Mistake This as a Comeback.

*hunnigall's collection was exempt from this rant. We all loved it.*

Just remembered this, and felt like giving everyone a nice reminder.
Mary (writemarycat) promised everyone who showed in SFW that their collections would make the starplaza, prompting many young "designers" (with little talent, may I add...) to create lackluster collections, and recieve acclaim, 15 minutes of fame, etc. Well, browsing down Stardoll's Most wanted, searching the spoilers, I have finally come to the conclusion that:
A) Mary lies alot.
B) These collections were futiley designed, and wasted time on.
C) I'm laughing all the way to the bank, because somehow I knew that Mary was lying.
So, watch out for the occasional "creative" who promises you the world, but ends being pernicious liar. Also, I'm quite glad to say this about Mary, coming out of working with her (as well as her vexatious staff) on a few projections. It was much obliged, girlfriend.

SFW: Day 7

Unfortunately, it's the last day of SFW. Day 7 started off slow, with a disappointing announcement that Eternity Magazine was NOT releasing it's issue today, but things slowly picked up when a surprise release of Lipstick Magazine debuted. Then a hour later the awards were distributed. Although there were bad moments, everything turned out better than expected.

SFW Schedule UPDATE!!

Stardoll Fashion Week has updated the schedule for the final 2 days!

Day 6 will begin earlier than usual and is 'expected' to make six releases!

SFW: Day 5

Day 5 of Stardoll Fashion Week was a BIG disappointment. Only Fantasy Couture was released after an hour of waiting. Then another hour occurred for VaniTEEN Magazine & Ribbon's release, but due to "computer problems" they were delayed for tomorrow. Hopefully the staff is prepared for tomorrow and doesn't set-up everything last minute and are prepared for any glitches.

Fantasy Couture

Eeleenyte10's Fantasy Couture collection was not the best I've seen. The 'show' was poorly put together. The background stood out way more the the clothes itself, and the hair was very distracting. Overall, the clothes were okay.

SFW: Day 4

Day 4 of SFW didn't go as plan AT ALL. First off, Allure Magazine was a no show, but we expected that after the owner announced a few weeks ago that they would be delaying. During the party, not a lot of action was taking place. There were huge long delays again due to glitches with Blogger. When both collections finally debuted, I wasn't so impressed. Hopefully tomorrow will have a better turn out than today.

color.fashion.chic

Esther001's color.fashion.chic had so many great individual pieces, but there was no cohesiveness, every look was different and seemed like she added every look and every color she could. Overall, the collection was very chic and wearable.

The E Empire

Evita.Sweet's 6 piece gown collection, The E Empire, was also not on my good list. The colors were beautiful, but the structure of the gowns didn't seem very body-pleasing. Each gown had too much going on.

SFW: Day 3

Day 3 started of kind off rough, delays were certainly a huge thing throughout the event, but at the end everything turned out wonderful!

L'arte De Lily

Yet another brilliant collection by Doinker_chic, L'arte De Lily wasn't has great has her Perfection collection from yesterday, but her last piece (ball gown above) certainly left people amazed!

Eccentric Magazine

After one year, Star_Awards finally bought back Eccentric Magazine! The issue is really huge with amazing graphics (that were from Second Life) and a tons of entertaining articles about fashion trends and people!! It is certainly different from other magazines.

Coconut

Psychotic-freak & Nojarama's Coconut collection left a couple people confused, but most people fascinated. Overall, the collection itself was huge and had beautiful bright yet warm colors that bought you back to Summer!!

SFW: Day 2

Stardoll Fashion Week has certainly gotten off on a good note! On Day 2, we saw the first of many collections to come and a amazing magazine release!!

Wonderland Of E

The Wonderland Of E was the first huge amazing accessory collection I have seen on Stardoll. Creator Vampire_ did a wonderful job. The whole collection ranges from jewelry to bags to shoes!! The colors really brought the collection together!!

Runway Magazine

Vasia28 debuted yet another excellent issue of Runway Magazine! The magazine truly delivered some amazing colorful graphics and entertaining articles. A must read issue!!

Perfection

Perfection is truly perfection!! The clothes are something you can really see people wearing. It is something that I would diffidently want to buy if it were on sale in the Star Plaza!!

This is what designer Doinker_Chic had to day about her collection:
"Perfection is a line that strives to compliment it's name. The clothes are meant to accentuate a woman's body with gentle florals, pastels, and laces that create a luxurious, feminine attire with someone of any physique."

SFW: Day 1

Starbazaar Collections

Yes, clothing you actually can purchase during SFW!! 5 designers were chosen to design a small collection for SFW!! All 5 collections range from many styles that will suit all tastes.

- kxcatarinaxk with a line of Moroccan and Asian inspired prints.

- sparklewand12 with some beautiful floral pastel patterns.

- catlover103 with some fabulous grungy plaid styles.

- hay_lin75 with gorgeous kaleidoscope inspired couture work.

- .Marcela.. with some amazing candy chic pieces!

They each created 5 prints for their collection, and one will be available each week! So for 5 weeks, you have amazing designs coming to you. So make sure you save up some cash if your interested!!

The most anticipated event of the year is almost here!!!

Stardoll Fashion Week Branches Out

I'm beginning to think that Mary (writemarycat) is turning more and more into a Stardoll trendsetter every day. Can you feel the excitement in the air, from the upcoming Stardoll Fashion Week featuring brands such as Dioguardi Couture, N3RD*, and L'arte de Lily**. While the glamorous clothing alone would be enough to make me happy, Mary had to go and set me on Cloud 9!
Another addition has been made to SFW, called 'The SFW Exellence Awards'! Mary says, "All our awards are decided by our elite fashion panel, except the last one, which is chosen by YOU!
All the collections will be aired by Saturday 2nd October, so that evening a poll will come up and you will have 24 hours to decide your winner." Exciting! There will be several categories that a brand can win, such as Best Starbazaar Collection, Must Have Award, Most Daring, Best Makeup, People's Choice Award, and so on. You can view the whole list here. I will do a segment once all of the collections have been shown, and the other PSG writers and myself will write who we think should win these categories.

*N3RD is a brand shown by business savvy Nojarama. Gossip has been going on about the ownership, which is very juicy.

So what does this mean for her? Well, she be on every promo for Stardoll Fashion Week, her face would be plastered everywhere, and by default, over every Stardoll blog going. During the show, her face will be everywhere people look. She'll will be the headliner, and be the first ever.

FG Party!!!

Fashion Group is throwing a party this weekend at the French Flamingo Nightclub at 8pm GMT!!

FG has been growing huge lately and this party will celebrate it's success so far. The results of the 'Face of Stardoll Fashion Week' competition will be announced at the party also.

I will be there and report the crazy aftermath of the party here.
