Edo Dep Gov’s father-in-law kidnapped

BENIN-Father-in-law of Dr. Pius Odubu, Edo State Deputy Governor, Chief Felix Okungbowa, was, yesterday, allegedly kidnapped from his Benin residence by unknown gunmen.
Vanguard learnt that the gunmen were said to have stormed Okungbowa’s residence, on Ewasede Street, off First East Circular Road in the state capital, where they abducted him
.
At press time, the kidnappers were yet to make contact with the family of Chief Okungbowa.
Meanwhile, the incident was said to have taken place while the son-in-law, the Deputy Governor of the state, Dr.  Odubu, was away on a tree-planting programme at Urhonigbe in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of the state.

A police source in Benin, who confirmed the incident, yesterday, said the kidnappers were yet to state the reasons for their action nor have they demanded any ransom.
Dependable sources close to the number two citizen of the state also confirmed the incident.
