If you’re pathetic as me and like to reminisce about the “old days” of Stardoll, then you will love today’s “What’s up?” because we will be discussing, the old, the new ands the downright weird

DRESSUP DOLLS

Yeah, you heard read me bitches.

The dressup dolls are the foundation of Stardoll, they’re what started the whole shaboom off. Without them, we would just have 11 year olds screaming insults at us if we didn’t vote them CG. It’s nice to play with the dolls every once in a while. But recently, the dolls have become less fun to play with. Because of the better graphics, there are less clothes, what’s the point in having a realistic as fuck doll, but no clothes?

If you take a look at this *ahem* flowchart, you can see how Britney Spears’ dolls have become more and more realistic

Here’s what we think...

Selena; Well, as you said, these dolls are the foundation of Stardoll (Which was named Paperdoll Heaven when I joined in 2005) I played with them all the time! And then I noticed that there were some dolls that you needed to pay money to play with, I, my poor little self didn't pay anything to begin with, but then I was bored with all the other dolls that I had probably played with a hundred times so I made an account probably a month after I just discovered Paperdoll Heaven! It was fun to play with the SuperStar dolls! When I first joined there were no suites and your own doll! You got to choose a celebrity as your avatar picture and that was that... I think I chose Pink as my avatar :') Very nice memories!

Jack; I can never really remember Paperdoll Heaven, as I was young when I first discovered it. The thing that pisses me off now though, is that the dolls only have clothes that are available in Starplaza and most of them are freaking ugly. I miss the days where we had the creative dolls where you click on a colour to change their hair, lips, eye shadow, top, shoes etc., those dolls were the best *sighs and flutters eyelashes*, also they were ACTUAL celebs that you have ACTUALLY heard of, nowadays they’re just random tennis players or literal nobodies. I think Stardoll has enough dolls now, before you know it, they’ll be making Stardolls of Jackie Stallone.

Selena; Yes, or Jocelyn Wildenstein and Anna Anka... I totally agree with you darling, I also miss the creative dolls! I'm tired of the new dolls being released with clothes that the Queen Elisabeth wore when she was young.. Just saying, make some new clothes for the dolls! I remember when the doll section was the startpage on Paperdoll Heaven and even Stardoll! That was good times! I remember when Covergirl was a big deal! I know I'm drifting away on the boat named 'Good Times' now but you just have to excuse me, A little emotional *Wipes tear* I remember when they even removed old dolls to make room for the new ones (The new ones SUCK) I remember they removed Lil Kim and I was FURIOUS! I loved that doll, it was my favourite doll, BTW she looked like a complete whore ; ) I'm team Lil Kim if anyone wonders!

Jack; It is weird how they removed some of the old dolls and the fact that they removed Lil’ Kim and replaced her with TWO Justin Bieber dolls is apaulling. Stardoll is moulding around the lives of 9 year olds, I think they forget that the large proportion of their active community consists of US TEENAGERS, they need to listen up and start doing things we want. I say they allow swear words, but whatever, I mean anyone who is stupid enough to be offended by pixels is just pft. I’m moving off subject now, the old dolls should be brought back and the new crappy non celebrities should be REMOVED.

Selena; I totally agree...Again! Justin Bieber can put the two nasty dolls of up his ass! Along with all the other things he probably is putting up there... Now with that out of my system... My all time favourite doll is still there! Lily Cole! (The old one) I just love and adore her clothes there, and her pose!! And her hair! And ALL the other things! she has Lottery Dresses and all, that makes her just a little more special! I wonder, where did the fun of playing with the dolls go? It went down the drain when they decided to DELETE old dolls and replace them with those new ugly ones with my grandmas wardrobe. Nuff said.

Jack; I could not agree more Selenapea, the best doll out there has to be Lily Cole, she is the most special doll ever! As for the other dolls who have adopted Wal-Mart rejects for there wardrobe need be gone, up Justin’s ass.

Why hast thou forsaken me, Stardoll?

That's what I was thinking this morning as I logged in to see that all we were getting from LE this go round was furniture. Yes, I admit. I am a drama queen.

I think I speak for everyone when I say that this was a major virtual letdown. Stardoll is serious business (sarcasm) and we want real LE. Not furniture that looks like the rest of the stuff that we already have. Word on the Stardoll streets is that there will be no more
LE clothing. Could this rumor hold any weight? I guess we'll wait and see...


Who wants to pay 70 stardollars for a rug anyway?

Jack: DING DONG THE HACKING BITCH IS DEAD. Well, her Stardoll life is definitely over. This is more than likely a stupid scheme for her to get MORE fame, as if she hasn't already got enough from hacking everyone but the kitchen sink (old British saying). I, for one, am so fucking glad she is leaving! It will make Stardoll much of a better place again. She is the devil of Dollywood, and to be honest, no

one wants to be in the presence of the devil.

Selena: Darling, the only thing she is in Dollywood is a piece of SHIT lying on Starbazaar boulevard at the corner of FAIL! I really hope she's leaving for real! She has been doing SO much shit over the past few weeks. I'm disgusted beyond belief! She doesn't show ANY kind of remorse either, she is leaving it all behind, continuing her life while she has been making a MESS in Dollywood! I'm starting to think she is some kind of a psychopath... They have NO conscience WHAT SO EVER and all I'm saying is that she has not been sharing any kind of true feelings on the bad shit she has done!

Jack: Totally agreed Selena, couldn't have put it better myself. The fact that she has not apologized for anything, nor returned hardly any money or rares is completely disgusting. Hackers are basically brainless morons, she should have thought this through ALOT more before she "attacked". She has epically failed in becoming Stardoll's bad girl, I don't know what she thought she would gain from hacking

the sooner she's gone, the better.

Selena: I agree, she has failed epically at being SD's 'bad girl' She is just a bad PERSON! I wonder how she is in real life... I can't help but ask myself; does she have any friends? Does her parents love her? Does she love them? Does she even have parents? I don't know, her acts proofs that she is missing something important in life, is it the loving parents she miss? Or just the damn brain? It's way in over my head to sit here and give her a diagnosis, all I'm saying is SEEK HELP Destiny, SEEK HELP!

Jack: She needs A LOT of help. The thing she doesn't realise, is that hacking is THEFT, theft is a CRIME and criminals go to JAIL. If somebody chooses to take legal action, "Destiny" could end up in prison. Luckily, as far as I am aware, no one has chosen to do so, although, if "Destiny" continues this hacking addiction, sooner or later, somebody WILL.

Selena: Luckily for HER yes! I might be crazy for saying this but I HOPE some one takes legal action, maybe it will set her in place just a little bit. She NEEDS to be sat in in place, she has done horrible things and I am SICK of it, it actually makes me want to CRY every time I see a new RARE in her suite! I just feel SO bad for everyone who was hacked by her, including you my darling Jackisha! A little advice, NEVER EVER give out your personal info to ANYONE unless you know them well! Like, REALLY well!

Jack: I never gave her my password, I foolishly gave her the answer to my email security question without noticing. I was lucky, I managed to get her to give my most of my stuff back, and I only had 300SD on my account at the time. The new page here on PSG is really helpful and everyone should read it if they want there password to be kept safe. One last thing to say; "Destiny", if you're reading this,

I added a tab to the website today with helpful tips on how to keep your accounts safe, feel free to copy it to your blogs!

1. NEVER give anyone your password. No matter what they offer or promise you, no matter how much they swear they won't hack you, do not trust anyone who asks you for your password! This goes for people you consider friends as well, some hackers on Stardoll go to great lengths to establish a friendship with you and gain your trust. You don't have to be paranoid, just use your judgment!

2. Be very suspicious if someone starts asking you random personal questions like "What's your mother's maiden name?" or "What was the name of your first pet?" because they are trying to get your Security Question out of you so that they can gain access to your email account through the "Forgot Your Password?" feature.

3. Be careful what you click on! Don't go to unfamiliar links sent to you by random people, they could be leading you to a keylogger virus that gives them access to everything you have typed over a period of time, including your passwords. Try not to run competitions that require you to click on links, have tasks in Albums or Sceneries instead of having people print screen and upload to tinypic.com.

4. Use a Virtual Keyboard to type in your passwords, not just on Stardoll but in general, especially when paying for things with a credit card online. Most operating systems have a virtual keyboard built-in, and you can also download a free one online.

Click on Start -> Go to All Programs -> Click on Accessories -> Select Accessibility or Ease of Access ->Click on On-Screen Keyboard

5. Beware of proxies! I know using a proxy is popular now to gain access to items that Stardoll gives away in other countries, but it exposes your personal information to third parties and can make you vulnerable to phishing and viruses.
