After those nude shots, Scarlett Johansson is baring up well...

You might think Scarlett Johansson would want to lie low for a while after nude photos of her were stolen from her mobile phone and posted on the internet.

But it seems the actress isn’t so easy to embarrass. She has emerged to pose alluringly for a magazine and reveal that the stolen pictures were several years old and had been intended for her husband at the time.

She even joked that they showed her in a flattering light because ‘I know my best angles’.

In one of the stolen images, she was topless in bed. In another, her bare bottom was reflected in a bathroom mirror.

When the Hollywood star contacted the FBI last month, many were surprised less by the theft than by what the pictures were doing on her phone.

But Miss Johansson, 26, pictured right for December’s Vanity Fair magazine, has explained that she sent them to her former husband, Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds.

‘Those are old, from three years ago,’ she told the magazine. ‘They were sent to my husband. There’s nothing wrong with that.

'It’s not like I was shooting a porno – although there’s nothing wrong with that either.’

Miss Johansson’s two-year marriage to Reynolds ended in divorce papers filed last December.

The FBI has arrested the alleged hacker, 35-year-old Christopher Chaney of Florida.

The December issue of Vanity Fair is on newsstands on Friday, November 4.

Scarlett Johansson has admitted the nude photos leaked to the internet by a hacker were taken for her former husband Ryan Reynolds.

Speaking for the first time about the photos which became an internet sensation she said she wasn't ashamed to have taken the steamy shots.

The actress even joked: 'I know my best angles.'

Johansson said she had taken the two self portraits on her cell phone and sent them to her then husband, Reynolds.

The couple split up after two years of marriage in December 2010.

Johansson said the photos - which showed her topless and nude reflected in a mirror - were taken three years ago when she was dating the Canadian born star.

'They were sent to my husband. There's nothing wrong with that. It’s not like I was shooting a porno - although there's nothing wrong with that either,' she told Vanity Fair magazine.

Johansson's called in the FBI after the photos hacked from her phone were leaked to the internet.

It was thought the two photos were fake until lawyers for the actress said she owned the copyright to prevent them from being further published.

FBI agents from 'Operation Hackerazzi' spoke to Johansson along with as many as 50 other celebrity victims.

Christopher Chaney, 35, was later named as the man who hacked her phone, along with those of Christina Aguilera, Vanessa Hudgens and Mila Kunis.

Chaney admitted offering the stolen photos to celebrity websites but denied blackmailing any of the estimated 50 victims.

He was due in court in Los Angeles on Tuesday to face 26 charges of unauthorised access to a computer and wiretapping. If convicted, he faces up to 121 years in prison.

Chaney, from Jacksonville, Florida, said in a TV interview he became obsessed with the stars and used his computer skills to hack into phones and email.

Johansson is currently on location in Arbroath, Scotland, where she is filming the sci-fi movie Under the Skin.

The actress, who wears a dark wig for the part, plays 'an alien on earth, disguised as the perfect aesthetic form of a mesmerizing woman'.

It is due to be released next year.

Shooting for glory! Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner are unleashed in new Avengers photos

Shooting for glory! Scarlett Johansson and Jeremy Renner are unleashed in new Avengers photos

They are the least known characters in next year's hotly tipped blockbuster contender The Avengers.

But Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow and Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye were front and centre in newly released stills from the film.

Scarlett is playing Russian superspy Natasha Romanoff, who is armed to the teeth with a selection of advanced weaponry.

She appeared in Iron Man 2 as a supporting character, but will be getting equal status with Robert Downey Jr in the new film.

Jeremy Renner's character is even less well known, and only made a brief cameo appearance in this year's blockbuster hit Thor.

But as a token human in a superhero team that includes god of thunder Thor and nuclear powered wrecking machine The Hulk, he will play a key role when he is unleashed.

Despite her status as a Hollywood sex symbol, Scarlett, 26, said told Entertainment Weekly she needed to be reassured she was not being overshadowed by her fellow characters.

She said: 'The other day we were doing this big reveal shot of all the Avengers.

'Thor has got his hammer, Cap’s got his shield, Hawkeye has his bow and arrow, and Hulk is huge.

'Then it pans over to me and I’ve got guns. Iron Man’s like, hovering above all of us, ready to go.

'I was like, ‘Joss [Wheldon]… um… do I look okay holding these guns?’

The director reassured her, saying: 'She’s a total badass. She’s a killing machine.'

Jeremy, who was nominated for an Oscar for his performance in Hurt Locker in 2009, has said he is relishing being in a superhero film, despite taking more heavyweight roles in the past.

But the 40-year-old said he has to approach the role differently than the likes of the practically invulnerable Hulk,.

He said: 'The only sort of thing I cling to is the relationship of past experiences with Scarlett’s character, with them both being human. I can cling to that.'

But since he is the only person who can stop Bruce Banner's alter-ego in the middle of a rampage, it could be argued he is the most important member of the team.

Jeremy said: He’s the only one who can really take down The Hulk with his tranq tip arrows.

'He knows his limitations, but when it comes down to it, there has to be a sense of confidence in any superhero.'

Another shot that was released was of Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr having a discussion on the set of the movie.

The former was dressed up in his Captain America outfit, while the latter looked far more laid back in casual clothes.

One of the most interesting plot strands in the movie according to Chris, 30, will be seeing his character adapt to the modern world after being trapped in ice at the end of the Second World War.

He said: 'It’s just about him trying to come to terms with the modern world.

'You’ve got to imagine, it’s enough of a shock to accept the fact that you’re in a completely different time, but everybody you know is dead, everybody you cared about.

'He was a soldier. Obviously everybody he went to battle with, all of his brothers in arms, they’re all dead. He’s just lonely.

'I think in the beginning it’s a fish out of water scene, and it’s tough. It’s a tough pill for him to swallow.

'Then comes trying to find a balance with the modern world.'

And Robert admitted his initial ideas about how the movie should progress ended up being left by the wayside, despite his steadfast pitch to writer and director Wheldon.

He said: 'Well, I said, ‘I need to be in the opening sequence. I don’t know what you’re thinking, but Tony needs to drive this thing.

'He was like, "Okay, let’s try that." We tried it and it didn’t work, because this is a different sort of thing.

'The story and the idea and the theme is the theme, and everybody is just an arm of the octopus.'

But he joked he tried to rebel against the new direction.

He said: 'But what was I like, as usual, just f—ing aggressive and hurtful. Whatever, the usual.'

Hello Old Hollywood! Scarlett Johansson's gorgeous lace dress exudes sophistication at Dolce & Gabbanna Milan show

She's famous for her old Hollywood glamour and classical good looks.

And Scarlett Johansson showed off both to their best effect tonight as she attended the Dolce and Gabbana show for Milan's Womenswear Fashion Week.

Though it is not normally a star studded occasion, the 26-year-old still made a sterling effort, looking stunning as she posed before the show.

The actress's dress fitted her curved form perfectly, showing off her toned stomach and slender calves.

A transparent portion of lace around her neckline preventing the modest below-the-knee length of Scarlett's dress from looking frumpy, and gold heels added a touch of sparkle.

The star wore her bobbed hair in soft waves, creating a more modern take on a classic twenties style.

Milan Fashion week doesn't usually boast a long celebrity guest list.

Diligent Scarlett stepped out to show her support as a spokesmodel for Dolce & Gabbana cosmetics.

She has held the role since 2009, and appears in the brand's recent advertisements for the Autumn/Winter Sweet Temptations line.

The busy star was recently spotted filming her new film The Avengers in New York, alongside co stars Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner.

Her next film, We Bought a Zoo, is due to be released this Christmas, and also stars Matt Damon.

She has also endured some stress lately since a Los Angeles street artist started using nude pictures of her in his work.

Though the actress's lawyers have reportedly issued legal threats over the matter, a spokesman for the artist has said: 'I've received a cease and desist letter, but they're never acted on when it's claimed as an art piece.'

FEMAIL VERDICT ON THE DOLCE & GABBANA SHOW

We pity those who went to yesterday's Dolce & Gabbana show on an empty stomach (and let's face it, it's Milan Fashion Week, we're guessing there were a few of them dotted around).
The Italian duo's inspiration clearly came directly from their local market with aubergine, tomato, courgette, chilli and carrot prints making appearances in several different mouth-watering incarnations.
Crop tops, hot pants, sun-dresses and beautiful flowy chiffon gowns were all emblazoned with the colourful designs.

Monochrome fabrics were also used for Chanel-inspired skirt-suits, and work-appropriate flattering dresses.
The amount of work that went into the beaded hotpants, bodies, crop tops and corsets was as impressive as the elaborately-lit multi-coloured backdrop.
They also show that the washboard stomach is here to stay. Make the most of your gym membership this winter as next summer there will be even more midriff on display.
Our favourite touches, though, were the pasta earrings. At last a look we can recreate, Blue Peter style, with the contents of our kitchen cupboards...
