She's regularly voted one of the sexiest women in the world - and Woody Allen appears to be playing on Penélope Cruz's sensuous reputation for his new movie.

The 37-year-old sexbomb has been shooting scenes for new movie Bop Decameron in Rome wearing a tight strapless scarlet mini dress and skyscraper red patent peeptoe heels.

The star also demonstrated she'd easily got her figure is back to it's sensational best after giving birth to first baby Leo at the start of the year.

Later on in the scenes, she was seen wrapping up in a silk black and white polka dotted gown.

Woody previously directed Penélope to Oscar winning effect in 2008's Vicky Christina Barcelona.
Their latest collaboration isn’t set to hit the big screen until 2012 but includes 30 Rock star Alec Baldwin, Juno star Ellen Page and The Social Network actor Jesse Eisenberg.

Penelope won the gold statuette for her role as Maria Elena in 2008's Vicky Cristina, she played opposite Bardem as one of his girlfriends, the other being Scarlett Johansson.
This time round of course, the pair are married with a six-month-old son.
Cruz arrived in Rome with just Leo and two bodyguards and husband Javier Bardem has already been out to visit them both on breaks from his filming schedule.

'I'm really happy to be in Rome and to shoot a film with Woody Allen,' Cruz said when she arrived in the city a fortnight ago.
The film will be a modern-day take on Giovanni Boccaccio's The Decameron and will consist of four vignettes.
In his story, Allen and his wife travel to Rome and meet the family of the Italian man that their daughter is going to marry; Cruz is rumoured to be playing his wife.

This is the first time since his 2006 film Scoop, that the director has given himself a part in his own movie.
It's also the first film the legendary auteur has shot in Rome and location work is set to wrap at the end of next month.

With her slicked back hair, smoky eye make-up and gloss red lips, Penelope Cruz screams vixen in her latest photo shoot.
The 37-year-old is the epitome of vampy glamour for the recent 'Transformation' issue of V magazine, which also features fellow Hollywood actress Anna Paquin and socialite Paris Hilton.

The mother-of-one is seen looking stunning in both androgynous and feminine looks.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean pours her impeccable curves into long black slinky gown and clutches a fluffy white fur.

And for her cover shot, Penelope smoulders in a Ralph Lauren crisp white shirt and tuxedo, accessorising with a pair of heavy studded earrings and black fishnet veil.

In the cover interview, Penelope says that her biggest transformation yet 'is becoming a mother.'

'It changes you forever,' she says.

She also discusses her career as an Award-Winning actress and how excited she is about choosing roles she is interested in.

'Something happens that is really addictive during the investigation,' she says. 'It’s a beautiful thing…A part of you becomes obsessed with that other being. That is the feeling that I look for.'

Whilst discussing fame she makes it clear that her interest 'is acting, not stardom.'

'Johnny wears everything better than I do. He even wore a dress in the movie he did with Javier (Bardem) Before Night Falls,' she said.

The Spanish actress is currently in Rome where she is filming Woody Allen's upcoming romantic comedy, The Bop Decameron.

This week, Penelope was seen on set looking her curvy best in a eye-catching red and black Dolce & Gabbana dress.

She finished off her look with crimson peep-toe heels on her feet and rounded out the look with a fiery-hued purse.

Although her experience on Barcelona was one of the best of her life - she won an Oscar and met husband Javier Bardem - she has a strong supporting cast on Decameron.

Ellen Page, Jesse Eisenberg, Alec Baldwin, Roberto Benigni and Allen himself will star in the movie, which is slated for a 2012 release.
