She shed an astonishing 20lb from her already slim frame to play a ballerina in Oscar-winning movie Black Swan.

And now Mila Kunis has admitted losing the weight has entirely changed her views on body image.

The 27-year-old actress, a self-confessed 'foodie', said she was stunned with how much her body was capable of changing.

She told the new issue of Britain's Glamour magazine: 'I don’t think I ever fully realised what a human body is capable of doing. But I think I was also, in a beautiful way, incredibly naïve.

'I believed I could do anything. I never for one moment thought that I couldn’t do it. I believe in hard work. In self-drive and self-worth.

'I'm a huge foodie, I love food. But when people say, "I can’t lose weight", no no no, you can. Your body can do everything and anything, you just have to want to do it.'

Mila, who was born in Chernivtsi in the Ukrainian SSR, also revealed she finds it difficult to accept that people find her attractive - despite the fact she won Spike TV’s Guys’ Choice award this summer for the Holy Grail of Hot.

Talking about the award, Mila laughed: 'It’s insane. Listen, I couldn’t be happier to get any of this, because I think it’s hysterical and it makes all my friends laugh.

'If somebody finds me attractive, God bless them, I think it’s fantastic.'

Mila added the reason she is able to stay so refreshingly grounded in the movie industry is because she stays positive.

She said: 'I’m in an industry based on rejection. On negativity and let-downs.

'People are rejected every single day purely based on opinion, about who’s a good actress, who’s a bad actress, who’s pretty, who’s ugly, who’s fat, who’s skinny.

'So why go there? You have to have a positive outlook. Otherwise you’re in a very dark place.'

Mila can next be seen in this summer's hottest romcom, Friends With Benefits, alongside Justin Timberlake.

But despite reports the actors are more than friends, Mila was quick to scotch the rumours.

The pair raised eyebrows in June when she and Justin, 30, presented an award to Robert Pattinson by sending up rumours that they were a couple with Justin cupping Mila’s breasts as she gripped his crotch.

They then furthered relationship reports when they were spotted on an apparent date in London last week.

However, Mila insisted the claim was 'an unfortunate thing that comes with the circumstances, but there’s no truth to it whatsoever.'

She added: 'Being single, I find myself not being able to be in a room with a man without, the next day, I’m dating that man. That happened for a solid six months (after Black Swan) when maybe - maybe! - I’d been in the same room.'
But Mila did say of her co-star: 'He’s incredibly funny, we laughed a lot on set,' saying of the MTV skit: 'We thought it was hilarious and we were promoting an R-rated comedy.'
As for what she's looking for in a man - it's humour rather than looks.

She said: 'Humour is an amazing quality to have. I like sarcasm, satire, self-deprecating humour. But I also think there’s something to be said for not looking for anything and being pleasantly surprised.'

And despite the fact that Mila was catapulted into super-stardom through her role in Black Swan, she remains logical about how much her profession affects the rest of the world.

She explained: 'No one’s curing cancer in this industry, remember? It’s not changing the world. It’s just entertainment, an art, a form of escapism. My friends and family are my number one thing in life, but you need a healthy balance.

'It’s not to say my goal in life is to have a family and kids, and let that be my number one priority either.

'This is a phenomenal job, but the most important lesson I’ve learnt is that you never want to let your only source of happiness come from something that’s so filled with uncertainty.'

The full interview with Mila appears in the September issue of Glamour magazine, on sale on Thursday.

Mila Kunis looked simply radiant at the German premiere of Friends With Benefits today.

And given her latest beauty splurge, it is little wonder.

The 27-year-old, who is currently on a European promotional tour with co-star Justin Timblerake, indulged a $7,000 facial last week at the salon of aesthetician to the stars, Scott-Vincent Borba.

The procedure, called the HD Diamond and Ruby Peel, uses precious stones including rubies and diamonds that work as antioxidants for the skin and, according to Mr Borba, create a ‘lustrous sheen.’

Speaking to American InStyle about the treatment, Mr Borba said: ‘I always do her skin, neck, décolleté, arms and the back of her hands, anything that will be possibly showing with her dress.’

Mila put the results on show today as she posed with Timberlake on the red carpet in Berlin.

She looked stunning in a blush pink silk cocktail dress by Lanvin and maroon Ferragamo pumps standing arm in arm with Justin, 30.

The pretty and feminine dress showed off Mila's long tanned legs and tiny waist.

Justin looked casual compared to her in dark jeans, a white shirt and black jacket which he paired with vintage looking black boots.

The also posed with the film's director Will Gluck who was also dressed in a casual fashion in jeans and a black long-sleeved T-shirt.
The couple have been busy travelling the globe promoting their new film which was released in the U.S two weeks ago.

While she seems comfortable showing off some skin on the red carpet, Mila has certain rules regarding what she will flash in front of the camera.

In an interview with Ryan Seacrest his Kiss FM radio show, she discussed the process of casting a lookalike body double to use in the sex scenes for the raunchy film.

These young ladies came in and they were in a casting room with the director and the casting director and my make-up artists,' she recalled.

'These lovely women had to show us their derrière and we chose the one that resembled my body the most without looking like it is fake.'

Mila Kunis smoulders on the cover of GQ but insists she's not girlfriend material

She is the hottest actress on Hollywood right now, playing a sexually confident woman in the upcoming comedy Friends with Benefits, and now smouldering on the cover of men's magazine GQ.

But Mila Kunis insists dating her is no picnic.

Despite recently accepting a blind date with a US Marine, the 27-year-old star says: 'I wouldn't dare wish myself upon anybody at this point in my life!'

Dismissing the persistent rumours that her on screen romance with Justin Timberlake spilled over into real life, Mila reveals she is single following her split from long-term love Macauley Culkin in January.

The gorgeous brunette blames her busy lifestyle. She tells GQ: 'My shooting schedule is crazy. I'm a nomad till January.'

Mila rose to fame in That '70s show but saw her star explode when she appeared alongside Natalie Portman in last year's Oscar-winning ballet drama Black Swan. Now she is starring in the naughty rom-com Friends with Benefits, in cinemas next week.

Kunis and Timberlake play friends turned lovers who attempt to avoid the emotional complications sex inevitably brings to a relationship.

Mila believes a 'friends with benefits' relationship simply cannot work in real life. Asked if she's ever tried it herself, she tells the magazine: 'I haven't, but I can give you my stance on it: It's like communism - good in theory, in execution it fails.

She adds: 'Friends of mine have done it, and it never ends well. Why do people put themselves through that torture?'

Only time will tell if the Forgetting Sarah Marshall star will be keeping things strictly platonic when she goes on a date with a sergeant she is accompanying to the Marine Corps ball in November.

Just last week Sgt. Scott Moore, of the 3rd Battalion 2nd Marines in Afghanistan, posted a video to YouTube asking Mila to be his date to the ball.

In the daring video he says: ‘I just want to take a moment out of my day to invite you to the Marine Corps ball on November 18 in Greenfield, North Carolina with yours truly. So take a second, think about it and get back to me.’

Shown the video by Fox411 during promotional duties for Friends with Benefits, Mila's co-star Justin Timberlake encouraged her to accept.

He said: ‘Have you seen this? Have you heard about this? You need to do it for your country. I'm going to work on this man. This needs to go down.’ Mila accepted the invitation.

Mila, who moved to Los Angeles from the Ukrainian SSR with her family when she eight, names Tina Fey and Lucille Ball among the females in Hollywood she looks up to.

She admits that good looks can sometimes distract from the work of female comedians.

'You want the attention to go to the joke itself rather than be distracted by who's delivering it,' she tells GQ. 'But look at Bridesmaids. That movie's full of beautiful women who are hysterical. I'm so proud of those ladies.

'You have no idea how hard it is for a woman in this business. A lot of people don't even think women are funny. It's f***** up, but you have to deal with guys like that. I've learned to roll with it.'
