She works hard to keep in shape, and Gwyneth Paltrow certainly wasn't going to miss an opportunity to flaunt the results.

The 38-year-old put her toned and trim stomach on show in a daring Pucci dress as she arrived at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles for the Emmy Awards.

Paltrow topped off her dress with platinum earrings by Neil Lane that boasted 7 carats of black-and-white diamonds, two platinum and diamond bracelets with a total of 100 carats, and a platinum ring with 5 carats of diamonds and black onyx.

She had been quick to choose the number, telling E! News host Ryan Seacrest: 'I tried on two dresses and I picked this one.'

But it seems the frock, which featured a sheer panel across the midriff, was even more revealing than she thought.

As she stood under the bright lights on the red carpet, she added: 'It's a little see-through, I'm realising.'

But the look was still admired by many, including Parks and Recreation's Amy Poehler who joked: 'I can't stand next to her too long. She looks too good.'

Paltrow earned herself a win even before the ceremony even began.

She took home a gong at the the Creative Arts Emmys on September 11 for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Holly Holiday in Glee.

At tonight's ceremony, she presented the award for best comedy series to Modern Family.

Her seemingly constant flow of advice to the world on how to copy her wholesome lifestyle may not impress everyone.

But you can’t help but be impressed by the effects of healthy living on Gwyneth Paltrow’s body.

The 38-year-old mother of two looked a decade younger as she posed topless wearing just jewellery and a pair of fishnet tights in a revealing photoshoot for Vanity Fair magazine.

Her demure pose with her arms across her helped protect her modesty.

She wore a Louis Vuitton necklace, earrings and rings, in the pictures for the magazine's jewellery supplement.

The pretty blonde had her hair up in a delicate knot and opted for natural make-up with smoky eyes.

Miss Paltrow looked lithe, toned and appear to show no trace of any stretch marks, which would be expected after having two children.

Gwyneth Paltrow has also released a cook book to help promote her healthy lifestyle

The star, who regularly gets up at 4.30am to exercise, is famed for dedication to yoga and healthy-eating.

She said in a recent interview: 'I’m really not a morning person at all. It is just sheer determination. I’m very strict with myself. When I practice six days a week and eat clean food, I feel much better.’

The actress, who is married to Coldplay singer Chris Martin, has two children, apple, seven, and five-year-old Moses.

She launched a lifestyle website GOOP in 2008 on which she writes her views, advice, and tips for leading a better life.

It has been criticised for its 'patronising' tone and advice that is unrealistic for people on ordinary budgets.

Miss Paltrow, whose credits include Seven and the Iron Man franchise, has made the transition from actress to domestic goddess over the past couple of years, even releasing her own cookbook recently - Notes From My Kitchen Table.

She appeared on hit singing show Glee and has turned her hand to comedy on Saturday Night Live.

The star is also planning to launch a chain of gyms with her personal trainer Tracy Anderson, and this week was spotting dining with Sir Phillip Green prompting speculation she is in talks to design a fashion line for one of his high street store Wallis.

It is not the first time she has worked in fashion as she collaborated with French label ZOEtee’s on a capsule collection reflecting her own style in 2009.

Beyoncé treats Jay-Z, Jessie J and Adele to secret post-Glastonbury gig

Beyoncé treats Jay-Z, Jessie J and Adele to secret post-Glastonbury gig

Beyoncé played one of her most intimate UK gigs at the Shepherd's Bush Empire last night in front of a small crowd of lucky fans, husband Jay-Z and a selection of A-list pals.

Adele, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jay-Z, Jessie J, Ewan McGregor, Tom Ford, Alison Mosshart, and Meg Matthews all watched as the diva took to the stage over an hour later than scheduled.
Other celebs who attended the gig last night included Alexandra Burke, Tinie Tempah, Stella McCartney, Sugababes star Jade Ewen, TOWIE star Maria Fowler, JLS singer JB, Paloma Faith and comedian Steven K Amos.
Glee stars Chris Colfer, Mark Salling and Kevin McHale also turned up as did Beyoncé's mum Tina.

'You'll have to forgive me because I'm still high from yesterday,' she told the crowd.
Beyoncé headlined the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival on Sunday night for the first time ever.
Last night, she showed no signs of fatigue and wasted no time launching a storming rendition of Run The World (Girls).

Dressed in a figure-hugging short yellow body-con dress which showed off her bootylicious figure, Beyoncé showed off some fierce moves surrounded by a group of female dancers.
It seemed like she was in the mood to throw out the rule book and told the audience: 'This is the first show where I don't have a set list. I'm just going to come out here and feel the love and do what I want to do.'
Even so, she delivered a highly choreographed, slick production as she took requests from her fans.

Beyoncé seemed to favour ballads - who wouldn't with such a great voice? - but it was her now iconic anthem to commitment-phobic men, Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It), that had the room in uproar.
Other highlights included a cover of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, where she brought out her backing singers, The Mamas, to harmonise as she indulged in a soft rock moment.
'I didn't have time to play it as Glastonbury,' she explained.

One track she did perform at the festival was King's Of Leon's Sex On Fire, which she also sung last night, turning the rock hit into the sexiest, sultriest ballad ever.
She also performed Work It Out from the Austin Powers soundtrack and finished her set with a spine-tingling rendition of Halo jumping into the crowd to invite fans to sing into the mic.
The special one-off show was to launch her new album 4, which she described as 'the best music I've ever made.'
The show was broadcast live outside Battersea Power Station at the same time.
Beyoncé had reportedly planned to play there initially but had to switch venues after health and safety crew couldn't make a stage safe enough to support 16 musicians.

After her storming Glastonbury performance, Beyonce performed an exclusive album release concert for her fans and members of the industry.

The singer released her new album "4" today.

Jade Ewen, Adele, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jay-Z and Denise Lewis were just some of the celebs that were present.

There was no setlist for tonight's show with all the cues coming from the audience.

In the clip, Bey performs "Run The World (Girls)", her next single "Best I Never Had", "1+1", "Single Ladies" and "Halo".

At the weekend she was the star attraction at the UK'S biggest festival, Glastonbury, but last night Beyoncé held a special one-off gig in London for a very select few.

And some of the nation's most famous faces made a beeline for the album showcase which was held at the Shepherd's Bush Empire in west London.

Top-selling artists Jessie J, Adele and Tinie Tempah led the charge for the British, while close friend Gwyneth Paltrow, Jay-Z and some of the cast members of Glee represented the U.S. contingent.

Other stars who appeared at the concert, where Beyoncé showcased songs from her forthcoming album, included Ewan McGregor, Alexandra Burke, Stella McCartney, Sugababes star Jade Ewen, JLS singer JB, Paloma Faith and comedian Steven K Amos.

Gwyneth, 38, wore a loose-fitting blue floral print dress that showed off her great legs - perfect for yesterday's hot weather.

She completed the outfit with a brown leather belt and matching strappy heels.

Most importantly Beyoncé's mother Tina made an appearance, as did her husband Jay-Z.

Jessie J hobbled into the show on a pair of crutches, she picked up a broken foot just before her show at the Summertime Ball in London two weeks ago.

The 23-year-old singer had her hair swept back into a harsh, Victoria Beckham-style do. She wore a garish Versace-esque blazer with a black leotard decorated with coloured gems across the chest.

Alexandra Burke's outfit was equally as colourful, comprised of a dress made with various coloured panels.

Jade Ewen threw on an unusual floral print dress with leather studded straps across the front. Her shoes were equally obscure, with sheer panelling revealing her feet inside.

Her fellow Sugababes bandmates were absent from the night's proceedings, so Jade flew the flag for the girl group on her own.

Paloma Faith, who is famed for her unusual taste in fashion, didn't disappoint with another outlandish outfit consisting of a sheer cream top with tiled detail, glittering hotpants and an odd-looking furball hat.

Adele kept it typically understated with her long black blazer, matching leggings and a muted multi-coloured top.

Stella McCartney, Kills singer Alison Mosshart, Meg Matthews and TOWIE star Maria Fowler were also on hand to fill the female contingent.

Meanwhile Tinie Tempah and Tom Ford were the main man at the event.

The British rapper cruised into the Shepherd's Bush Empire wearing a smart denim jacket, a white vest, camouflage shorts and a pair of retro white Nike Air Jordan trainers.

Tom Ford oozed star appeal in an ultra smart black suit, white shirt and black sunglasses. The fashion designer invited Beyonce to appear in one of his catwalk shows earlier this year.

Alan Carr, Duncan James, JB from boyband JLS, Ewan McGregor, comedian and Reggie Yates made up the numbers for male stars.

Glee stars Chris Colfer, Mark Salling and Kevin McHale also turned out for the star's amazing show.

Inside the venue there was said to be a problem with seating as Adele and Jessie J were allegedly moved from their front row seats when Jay-Z and Gwyneth Paltrow arrived.

Adele later moved back to the front, while Jessie remained in the back row.

The show itself was a spectacular colourful display with Beyoncé running through tracks from new album 4.

Earlier in the day the singer, who closed Glastonbury with a storming performance on the Pyramid Stage at the weekend, looked none the worse for her onstage exertions as she arrived for a shopping spree today at Harrods in London.

The star was getting in some last minute bits and bobs before yet another gig, hitting Harrods in Knightsbridge in a sunny tangerine-coloured fitted dress.

Queen Bee, who was wearing summery white platform court shoes, was beaming broadly too - perhaps she'd been reading the reviews of her performance last night, which got a resounding thumbs up.

She had also apparently recorded an interview for Piers Morgan's Life Stories during the day, so can't have had much of a lie-in following her incredibly energetic hour-and-a-half long headlining set at Worthy Farm on Sunday night.

Meanwhile, her rap star husband Jay-Z joined the likes of the Duke and Duchess Of Cambridge as he sat with the crowds watching Andy Murray beat Frenchman Richard Gasquet in straight sets at Wimbledon today.

The 99 Problems star was cool and casual in the oppressive London heat on what was the hottest day of the year so far in the UK, wearing a crisp military-style shirt and camouflage cropped trousers.

  • Star blew away naysayers as she closed the festival on the main Pyramid Stage

The hoped-for duet with Jay-Z might not have happened - but Beyoncé blew most of the doubters out of the water last night with her Bootylicious performance to close the Glastonbury Festival.

The star was watched by her rapper husband and friend Gwyneth Paltrow as well as 170,000 people on Worthy Farm in Somerset as she tore through an impressive hour-and-a-half set.

Wearing just black hotpants and a gold belted jacket with her hair blowing curly and free in the evening breeze, she appeared at times overcome with emotion at the reception she was given.

And even though she's more used to playing to fans in slick arena shows rather than to thousands of festival goers stuck in the mud, she appeared to totally win over the crowd.

Playing a greatest hits set of mostly her own and Destiny's Child tunes, she also covered tracks including Etta James's At Last, Kings Of Leon's Sex On Fire and Alanis Morrisette's You Oughta Know.

Bizarrely, she also duetted with Tricky for song Baby Boy, but the Bristol-born rapper looked rather uncomfortable up there with her on the Pyramid Stage.

However, she kept fans happy, kicked off with a firework-punctuated Crazy In Love.

She seemed thrilled to be there, declaring: ‘You are witnessing my dream! Thankyou for having me and my band tonight, I always wanted to be a rock star and tonight we are all rock stars.'

She also included tracks including Single Ladies - which of course she did the dance to, in her sparkly black high heeled ankle boots - If I Were A Boy, Independent Women, Bootylicious and Survivor as well as new single Who Run The World (Girls) before closing with an anthemic Halo.

At the end of her ground-breaking set, she declared: 'Can I just say "I love you" to Coldplay and U2, and thanks again for this beautiful night, I will never forget it. I love you all!'

She then disappeared into a glowing pyramid at the back of the set - literally built because it was on the Pyramid Stage.

The star - the first female to headline the festival in more than 20 years - was playing with an all-female band including a horn section with some male backing dancers to even things up a bit.

The star didn't please everyone, however.

Radio 1 DJ Zane Lowe churlishly refused to comment on her set in a discussion with BBC 6 Music presenter Lauren Laverne - and caused outrage on Twitter.

Lauren had been saying why Beyonce was a great pop artist who'd put in a fantastic performance in the true spirit of Glastonbury and asked Lowe his thoughts.

But Lowe mockingly burst out laughing before simply saying rudely: 'I went and watched Queens Of The Stoneage. Here's Kool And The Gang.'

He had been due to continue hosting the aftershow coverage on the channel - but when it became clear that Beyoncé was going to be doing an interview following her set, he made a rather see-through excuse that he had to leave the site.

BBC Radio 2 DJ Jo Whiley then stepped in to do the interview with Lauren instead.

Already out of her stage costume and wearing jeans and wellies, Beyoncé appeared to be happy with her set.

Beyoncé had done her homework the night before too, and was seen down the front of the stage in the VIP section with rap star husband Jay-Z last night watching Coldplay wrap up Saturday's bill on the Pyramid Stage - and perhaps getting some last minute inspiration.

Beyoncé was seen dressed down in a hoodie dancing and singing along to the band with her husband and frontman Chris Martin's wife Gwyneth.

She told Lauren and Jo that it had made her feel better about what she had to do last night.

She confessed: 'It made me feel a lot better last night, you realise people just want to listen to great music. I just thought, this is just beautiful. I just thought, calm down girl!'

And she said the weather had worked out well for her too, laughing: 'I'm happy it was sunny, it was beautiful today!'

The diva closed the three-day bash last night, and revealed that she was so nervous about it, she'd talked about her set with both Coldplay and Friday night's headliners U2.

Talking in an interview on Saturday with the BBC, Beyoncé said that she felt privileged to be closing the festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset - and she even didn't mind the squelchy conditions under foot.

Pronouncing the name of the al fresco fandango as 'Glaston-berry', she said: 'My first impression of Glastonbury, well, it's fascinating to see everybody in the mud, it's like they're all united as one.

'Everyone's so free, everyone's so diverse.'

As for her preparations for her show last night, she said: 'I'm the biggest fan of U2 and I'm the biggest fan of Coldplay, they are genius, so I've spoken to both of them about my setlist. I'm so excited to share the stage with them.

'For Glastonbury to recognise that women have the power to headline, that's amazing, and I'm proud that I am the chosen woman. I am going to rock!'

Apart from the likes of Zane Lowe, most people would agree she did a pretty good job...

Last night saw a textbook closing set from Coldplay, playing their third headlining set on the Pyramid Stage in nine years, at the festival that they claim is their spiritual home.

It followed Friday's effort from U2, which saw frontman Bono win overall positive plaudits despite battling against the pouring rain.

Yesterday also saw a polished surprise performance from Pulp on the Park Stage - where Kate Moss was turned away from the backstage area - and tonight's bill also features Pendulum, Queens Of The Stoneage, The Streets and Suzanne Vega.

Earlier, Jaime Winstone was seen laughing with friends, enjoying Plan B from the side of the Pyramid Stage.
