Forget the foul mouth child assassin she played in Kick Ass, Chloe Moretz looked every inch the sophisticated actress at an awards ceremony yesterday.

Despite being just 14 Chloe pulled off a very grown up look at the Variety’s Power of Youth event in Hollywood.

Wearing a mismatched green pique jacquard sweater, a black, white, and orange raffia skirt, and shoes all by Kenzo, the Hit Girl actress was honoured for her worked on behalf of The Film Fund.

Chloe, who has said she hopes to star in a sequel of Kick Ass, rubbed shoulders with Heroes star Hayden Panettiere at the event, who looked casual but stunning in jeans at the event which was held in Paramount Studios.

The 22-year-old actress has recently starred in Fireflies In The Garden with Julia Roberts.

Oscar nominee Hailee Steinfeld and Glee star Darren Criss were also given awards for their charity work.

Panettiere has been a longtime advocate of the Whaleman Foundation, which preserves oceanic habitats, and True Grit star Hailee Steinfeld fronts the hunger campaign Share Our Strength.

Modern Family's Rico Rodriguez, 12-year-old Brothers actress Bailee Madison, and the teen star of hit sitcom Two and a Half Men, Angus T. Jones, were also spotted on the red carpet before collecting prizes.

Meanwhile Chloe has spoken of her plans to star in a sequel to Kick Ass.

She said previously said: 'I’d like to do it in the next year or two because I think that’s a really good time age-wise. You can show Hit Girl in a different light which would be a lot of fun.

'You know her as this 11-year-old assassin, so I think it would be fun to show her as this twisted young adult, this 16-17-year-old Catwoman-y almost, twisted and dark person.'

Chloe also has big plans for the special effects and props she wants to use in the sequel.

Jennifer Aniston is seven years wiser than Reese Witherspoon.

And that wisdom apparently paid off for the 42-year-old actress last night at the Elle Annual Women in Hollywood event, where she managed to outfox her fellow Thespian friend.

Aniston was streaks ahead as she stepped out to the Beverly Hills soiree in a daringly short, low-cut silver dress.

As a result it was the Friends star who came off looking more youthful than 35-year-old Reese, who played it somewhat demure in a Navy blue trouser suit.
Jen, who is among the honourees at the 18th annual gala, posed for photographs with Reese - who played Rachel Green's sister Jill in two episodes of Friends 11 years ago - backstage.
The pair cosied up and put on their best smiles as they chatted amid a frenzy of flashbulbs.

Viola Davis and Barbra Streisand were also among the stars at the event who received honours.

There were many other VIP guests on hand, who turned out to support the occasion dressed in their finest.

Naomi Watts looked stunning in a flesh-coloured knee-length dress while Nicole Richie wore a flowing black patterned asymmetrical number.

Katherine Heigl proved she does still have it in her to look glamorous, and stepped out of her customary matronly attire in favour of a pretty LBD which put her amble cleavage on show.
Michelle Pfeiffer defied her age, with the 53-year-old looking breathtaking in a belted black dress with a plunging v-shaped neckline.
Other celebs who put their back into the style effort included Camila Alves, who wore a polka-dot blue number and Amber Heard, who was pretty in pink, teamed with a slick of blood-red lipstick.

It is one of the most iconic scenes in modern cinema history.

But Keanu Reeves and Chloe Moretz have stunningly recreated the hotel room sequence from the Oscar nominated 1976 film Taxi Driver.

The shot is part of a Harper's Bazaar pictorial in honor of the film's director Martin Scorsese to celebrate his latest release and take a look back over some of his most famous movie moments.

Flashback: The original film from 1976 featured a 12-year-old Jodie Foster and Robert De Niro

The 15-year-old Kick Ass actress portrayed the role made famous buy a 12-year-old Jodie Foster - a role which in turn made her a star and catapulted her career.

Keanu, 47, took on the job of imitating Robert De Niro's damaged and dangerous Travis Bickle, a mentally unstable Vietnam war veteran with a murderous streak.

In the shot, Chloe lounges on a couch in a provocative tummy-bearing ensemble while a concerned Keanu sits on an ottoman close by, while the pair converse.

'There's an aura about him,' Moretz said of the famed director.

'He knows how to get that thing that makes it a Scorsese film; it's completely unspoken. But I haven't seen Taxi Driver yet. My mom won't let me watch it.'

The picture is part of a collection, shot by fashion photographer Jason Schmidt for the November issue of Harper's Bazaar U.S.

Also shot as part of the collection was Mad Men's Christina Hendricks and Jack Huston, who relived a moment from the 2002 ensemble cast movie Gangs Of New York which originally starred Cameron Diaz and Leonardo DiCaprio.

The pair were shot intensely dancing through the dark set in the film which was set in 1863.

The Devil Wears Prada star Emily Blunt portrayed Alice from the 1974 film Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore which featured Big Love star Ellen Burstyn.

Accompanying the pictures were several commentaries from Scorsese's leading men and ladies about their experiences working with the legend.

'When we were shooting Taxi Driver, I think Marty was really uncomfortable with the fact that I was so young,' Jodie Foster said of the mastermind.

'The memory I have is of him and Robert De Niro trying to tell me how to unzip [De Niro’s] pants. And Marty keeps bursting out laughing. He can’t get a word out, and he tries to act serious, you know? He keeps smoothing down his face on both sides, but he just keeps laughing. And then De Niro decides he’s going to take over because he can do it.'

Meanwhile, Tom Cruise had a lighter memory of the 68-year-old ten time Oscar winner.

'I met Marty a few years before I worked with him, in '82 in L.A. Then I was shooting Top Gun and he offered me The Color of Money to do with [Paul] Newman.'

'When we started working together, Marty would just giggle. And it was wonderful because sometimes in the more violent scenes, like when I got pissed and was going down the stairs and throwing down the briefcase, you could just hear him giggle.'

'At night, I'd go down to Marty's parents' room and have a family dinner. His mom Catherine's lemon chicken, the pasta—incredible.'

'Even after we stopped filming, I'd go over to his parents' house and have Italian food any time I'd want. I'd call ahead, and they'd make my favorite dishes, and I'd stay with them for a night.'

A day out at the polo with a bunch of adults quaffing champagne would probably not be where most 14 year olds would want to spend their day.

But Chloe Moretz is clearly no ordinary teenager - and if these pictures are anything to go by, she is growing up pretty fast.

The Kick-Ass star was snapped at the polo looking older than her 14 years in a stylish but mature outfit.

The pleated cream long culottes, straw hat and heeled lilac sandals looked very chic but not an outfit you'd expect to see on a young girl.

But after shocking cinemagoers by using the C-word in her opening line in Kick-Ass, it's hardly surprising that this little girl is maturing beyond her years.

Chloe was a guest at the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup 2011, which took place at Cowdray Park Polo Club in West Sussex yesterday.

She was accompanied by her brother Trevor Duke Moretz, who is also an actor and often chaperones her on trips and occasions such as the star-studded polo.

But maybe she felt a little out of her depth at times as she clung to his hand as they walked around the event.

Chloe was joined at the game by Lily Allen, Jodie Kidd, Tamsin Egerton and Kevin Spacey.

Chloe is currently in the capital to film supernatural thriller Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer and Helena Bonham Carter.

Speaking to Vogue at the polo, she said: 'I practically live in London. I'm staying in Kensington at the moment with my mum; it's so beautiful around there.

'This is my first polo match and I'm looking forward to treading in the divots.'

And she said she was having an amazing time on set of the film which is directed by Tim Burton.

She said: 'I play Carolyn, Michelle Pfeiffer's daughter. It's great, it's been amazing. We've been shooting for two months now, it's going really well.'
