Ritualists Kill Lady In Mushin

Residents of Owokoniran Street, Mushin, Lagos southwest Nigeria were shocked when they saw the dead body of a woman severed at the neck.
According to an eyewitness who identified himself only as Amanda, she discovered the corpse around 10 p.m last Sunday a few minutes after the rain had stopped.
She said: “After the heavy rain, I dropped off a taxi when I discovered the body of a light complexion woman who was very fat on the ground lying flat.

“I ran into my house and told my siblings what I had seen. My elder brother then went to check the body and observed that the throat of the woman had been slit and her head compressed”
Another witness who craved anonymity said the lady was obviously murdered and dumped there by her killers.
“Before the rain started, that corpse was not here. She was killed and her killers may have thrown her out of a car in a bid to dump her body in the gutter but she landed on the ground.”
The Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Samuel Jinadu, told our correspondent that the corpse of the woman was retrieved by the police around 11pm and deposited at Isolo General Hospital morgue.
“The lady should be around 32 and we recovered the corpse on Owokoniran Street, Mushin. The cause of her death is not known but investigations are still on going,” he said.
However, another witness told our correspondent that the lady looked like a mother in her late forties.
Some parts of Mushin adjudged as black spots by the police have witnessed many deaths in recent times. Just last week, a young man named Isiaka was killed by suspected gang members in the area.
